7 room boutique hotel all with private ensuite bathrooms 5 with Jacuzzi baths. Parking, Wifi, cable tv. We offer our guests the best prices of any downtown hotel while giving personalized service that larger chains can't match.
We are less than a block to the nearest bus stop. Why we consider us unique is that our heritage building offers all the modern conveniences with out losing its heritage charm. The rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms are quite large. We offer guests the very best service and conversation as we are a small boutique hotel we can spend more time with guests one on one.
Guests can relax in our living room and enjoy a coffee or tea and some fresh baked cookies!
We are here to chat with guests from morning to night everyday.
We are in the center of downtown so whats not to love about our location we are steps away from restaurants, pubs, theatre, attractions and waterfront.
Bus stop a moments walk also a taxi stand around the corner.
The hosts were great, the room was lovely, and the location was very convenient to all of Charlotteville. I had a great stay, and both the breakfast and the company at breakfast were fantastic. Communication and ease of booking/check-in were top notch as well. Very recommended.
One of the best travel experiences of my life. I spent two weeks here while studying medicine at the nearby hospital. The family is full of hospitality and the building is amazing. Beautiful stained glass windows, 100 year old hardwood floor, gorgeous antique cabinets and decor, shiny wainscotting and moldings, and even suits of armor! Reg's breakfasts are awesome: fresh baked cinnamon rolls, maple bacon, and homemade bread. I was lucky enough to stay in the apartment which is beautiful, huge, and as comfortable as anything can be. The friendly hosts bend over backwards time and time again to ensure you're enjoying yourself. "Thank you" to Shelly, Reg, Gary, and Jeff for making my experience on PEI perfect
Everything was perfect as expected!
The Historic Tailor shop Hotel is lovely!! The staff were most accommodating and friendly. The rooms were lovely and I loved the fact that there was a mini-fridge in the room.
We stayed in the Tailor Shop Hotel for two nights and it gave us the perfect opportunity to explore the highlights of Charlottetown easily. The staff is very friendly and helpful on giving you tips on where to eat, what to do etc. The home is historic, beautiful and has the perfect location - a short walk to the main square where there is good shopping, dining and theatre. The boardwalk is also a short walk away. Our room was bright and spotless with a comfortable bed and the huge jet tub was a nice plus! Overall great experience and would highly recommend.
We enjoyed our stay here immensely! This hotel is in a terrific location in Charlottetown and is a great value. The decor in the rooms is somehwat dated, but the mattresses and pillows are quite new and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I'd highly recommend staying here!
This is actually a review for their sister property the Colonial Charm Inn. We were booking last minute and they did not have space in the Canada Select Boutique Hotel and maybe that was a good thing. We loved the "charm" of the Colonial Charm Inn and it is really true to its name.
It starts with our host Reg who was always warm and welcoming and over the course of our 2 day stay made for quite a bit of banter. Bring your A-game with the witty banter because he always has a reply. Reg was helpful with our dinner reservations since we arrived late and it was a solid recommendation and the restaurant had our table ready when we arrived. We talked about a lot of the places to see on the island and even had the chance to speak to out of town "locals" about PEI. We met people that would stay at the B&B every year and they directed us to various places. It truly is a family atmosphere there.
The breakfast was good and we are not really breakfast people, but we enjoyed it and it was a good start to the day. The room was spacious (we had the Parlor Room - an old ice cream parlor back in the day). It was spacious and even had a small fridge and kitchenette area. The downtown core of Charlottetown is quite small, so we were able to walk to everything without issues. We love to walk a city to get a better feeling for it and the location was ideal for that.
Overall, we loved the Colonial Charm Inn for a lot of reasons, loved Charlottetown, loved PEI and we will be back to all 3 very soon. We have been home a week and already want to go back.
We did not stay at the hotel because they had a vacancy at their B&B Colonial Charm in Charlottetown. Can't say enough good things about this charming place. Our host Reggie was so caring and helpful, the breakfast superb and their hospitality incomparable. We wished we could have stayed longer.
