This was the bets Air BnB experience we have ever had, and we have never had a bad one before. Pat and Jim are so welcoming and the space is very clean. They truly get 6 stars out of 5. They provide literally everything you may need for a stay and then some. You can tell they enjoy hosting and like to go "over the top" for their guests and it was truly a nice surprise. It is in the heart of Atascadero and very peaceful. A short drive to SLO down the 101. If I ever have to come back this way I know where I am staying. One of my favorite things was to take a walk with my wife around the area and see the different animals on the surrounding farms/ large open properties.
Pat and Jim were incredible hosts. From the moment I started corresponding with them, until even after I had left, they were nothing but gracious, warm, and welcoming. They truly went above and beyond to ensure that I had the best experience possible - they even gave us a complimentary bottle of wine and a hand written welcome note! I would highly recommend them, not only based upon their kind demeanors, but also because of the amazing space they have. It is cozy, very clean, comfortable, and furnished with just about everything you could need. It was too bad I could only stay one night - I would have liked to have stayed longer! Thanks Pat and Jim!
A comfortable place with warm and responsive hosts and beautiful photographs on the walls. Makes us even more excited to get back down to the area when we can.
We truly loved our stay in the guesthouse. It was clear from the first email, that this is truly a labor of love for this sweet couple. They were very understanding when we got into town later than we had originally planned, and wee so welcoming!
They filled the fridge with wonderful breakfast provisions, left us a bottle of wine, and gave us a quick tour to make sure we knew where everything was. There were even extra toiletries in the medicine cabinet, which I so appreciated when I realized I had forgotten my toothbrush.
The location was perfect for exploring both Paso Robles and SLO. We spent the days exploring, and the evenings stargazing. Just perfect.
Thank you again Pat & Jim. We can't wait to stay again!
Pat and Jim are real airbnb role models as hosts. Six stars! Not only do they supply "everything" one would need, but thoughtfully check in throughout the stay to see if all is going well. The apt. is great, as all the reviews state, and while the area is rural in feeling, stores are very nearby in the town of Atascadero. There is much in the immediate area including the tiny charming town square area of Atascadero, hikes in the foothills and an artisan goat cheese farm. About 15 minutes from SLO by highway.
I felt very welcomed by Pat & Jim. Their place is very comfortable and nicely equipped, with everything I could have needed. I will definitely stay there again when I travel to the area.
Jim and Pat's guesthouse was perfect for our weekend getaway. Their guesthouse had everything we needed and Jim and Pat were great hosts. We especially appreciated their insight on what to do and where to go.
We live in a serene rural setting framed by the foothills of the coastal Santa Lucia Mountain range. It was love at first sight when we discovered our property on a trip from L.A. in the 90s, and visitors often tell us they feel the same. I am a writer and my husband, Jim, is a fine art black and white photographer. If your interests lean toward photography, Jim now offers small group and private photo tours at the nearby beautiful and historic Santa Margarita Ranch. The Guesthouse apartment --furnished with your privacy, comfort and relaxation in mind -- provides an ideal centralized location for exploring every corner of this beautiful county and beyond. It offers a welcoming retreat from the city, a creative environment for writers, and a perfect "base camp" for photographers and other artists.
