Pat and Jim are real airbnb role models as hosts. Six stars! Not only do they supply "everything" one would need, but thoughtfully check in throughout the stay to see if all is going well. The apt. is great, as all the reviews state, and while the area is rural in feeling, stores are very nearby in the town of Atascadero. There is much in the immediate area including the tiny charming town square area of Atascadero, hikes in the foothills and an artisan goat cheese farm. About 15 minutes from SLO by highway.
I felt very welcomed by Pat & Jim. Their place is very comfortable and nicely equipped, with everything I could have needed. I will definitely stay there again when I travel to the area.
Jim and Pat's guesthouse was perfect for our weekend getaway. Their guesthouse had everything we needed and Jim and Pat were great hosts. We especially appreciated their insight on what to do and where to go.
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our four night stay in Pat and Jim's guesthouse. Pat and Jim were very accommodating and provided everything that we needed - breakfast provisions, amble blankets, and even toiletries. Additionally, they made us feel even more welcome by giving us a complimentary bottle of wine! They also provided great recommendations for local hikes and places to eat. We could not have asked for more!
We enjoyed meeting and hosting you both during your New Year's stay. We're happy you were comfortable in the guesthouse and had a fun time exploring the Central Coast, and we thank you for your kind words. If you find yourselves travelling our way again, you will always be welcome. Pat and Jim
Such a beautiful location! Easy access to the 101. The guesthouse is very comfortable, and we appreciated the full kitchen. High quality cookware, large fridge, and lots of goodies provided. Our favorite spot in Northern SLO county! Pat and Jim are gracious hosts. We are looking forward to our next visit!
One cannot find a better airbnb than this. Privacy, beautiful views, a country setting only 2 minutes from the freeway and 5 minutes to downtown. Centrally located for all the area must-sees. The temptation is great to never leave the apartment because it is so idyllic. The hosts have stocked it with everything one could possibly need in a weekend or even a week's stay. This is wine country, horse country, and genuinely nice people country. If I did not have a reservation elsewhere for the next week, I might never have left. This has to be one of airbnb's best properties. I recommend it one million percent!
Thank you, Gail ... it was great to meet you and have you stay in our guesthouse ... there are so many wonderful Airbnb rentals, but we truly appreciate your kind words and we're glad you enjoyed your time on the Central Coast. If you travel our way again, you'll always be welcome back. Jim and Pat
Jim and Pat were extremely warm and welcoming during our stay. The accommodations in the rental were far and away the most generous that I've experienced. The refrigerator was stocked with good food; a fresh fruit bowl, bread cupboard and bottle of wine were waiting for us in the kitchen upon arrival; the bathroom had ample towels and toiletries and there were many brochures, magazines and literature about the central coast and its many attractions. Jim and Pat went out of their way to make sure that we were comfortable and lacked for naught while we stayed at their rental. I would rent from them again and again.
We live in a serene rural setting framed by the foothills of the coastal Santa Lucia Mountain range. It was love at first sight when we discovered our property on a trip from L.A. in the 90s, and visitors often tell us they feel the same. I am a writer and my husband, Jim, is a fine art black and white photographer. If your interests lean toward photography, Jim now offers small group and private photo tours at the nearby beautiful and historic Santa Margarita Ranch. The Guesthouse apartment --furnished with your privacy, comfort and relaxation in mind -- provides an ideal centralized location for exploring every corner of this beautiful county and beyond. It offers a welcoming retreat from the city, a creative environment for writers, and a perfect "base camp" for photographers and other artists.
