Its exactly like Jim and Pat describe it to be. Its very clean. The property is well taken care of. They are very friendly people. They even brought us a bottle of wine when we cheked in. They are first class people. I recommend this place to everyone!!
Pat and Jim are wonderful hosts and their B-W Guesthouse was perfect. When I was close to arriving I called and Jim gave me great directions. They were waiting at the gate for me. They're so welcoming and friendly, but not intrusive at all. I had all the privacy I needed. The apartment is spacious, nicely furnished, clean, with a very comfortable bed. The fridge was stocked with all the items I asked for. So peaceful and quite, the apartments is above the Photo Gallery on the ranch, a little way away from the main house and is surrounded by beautiful fields and Oak trees on horse property. The price was more then fair and the location was perfect for me.
If you need lodging in Atascadero, stay at the B-W Guesthouse!
Beautiful place! We couldn't believe how spacious it was: living room, dining room, kitchen, and bedroom. Sparkling clean! I loved how much natural sunlight was in the rooms. It's so beautiful out as well. We spent our late evening sitting on the terrace and looking at thousands of stars which were not abstracted by light pollution. This place is magical. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area. Thanks, Pat and Jim for the amazing stay.
Pat & Jim were incredibly welcoming, even before we arrived. They accommodated our allergies as well as supplying food so we didn't have to shop right away. The setting was really quiet and beautiful. We especially liked seeing horses out of our windows. It was a restful place to come home to after a day at the beach or visiting nearby towns. We enjoyed speaking with Pat and Jim and looking at the photo gallery on site. They were available, but not intrusive. The unit had everything you could need, including a comfortable bed. It was possibly the cleanest place we've stayed in. All in all, it was perfect, and the best place we've stayed so far. We'd be happy to come back and explore the area further.
Thank you for such a nice note, Gale and Frank. We enjoyed meeting you both during your stay in our guesthouse and we're glad it all worked out so you were comfortable. You will always be welcome to come back any time you return to further explore the Central Coast. All best, Pat and Jim
Pat and Jim are fantastic ! First and foremost, their place is beautiful and comfortable. Nestled on a beautiful ranch, surrounded by the most amazing countryside, and easily accessible to town. The Gallery Guest house was perfect, just the right size for Dina and I and every detail was taken care of ( Pat even had Muffins waiting for us when we got there- smile) . Pat and Jim are the most warm and genuine people and they are great hosts. When we come back, we are staying with them. It really is that great. Look no further this is the place to stay . You will love it.
Pat and Jim were fantastic! The apartment was exactly as advertised and then some. Clean, comfortable, generously stocked, great WiFi and cable, peaceful, and reasonably priced. And, as a bonus, a cool photography gallery downstairs!
Pat and Jim were there at arrival, available when there were questions, and totally cool people.
With peaceful surroundings come the occasional inconvenience: it took three tries to get an Uber to come out so we could do a little dining and wine tasting. Be aware that, while it may take some effort, Uber ultimately arrived and took us home as well and, frankly, I was amazed that in such a rural location that I was able to get Uber to come at all. In any case, it's no fault of the location or its hosts, just something to know about when you come here.
In any case, the experience was excellent and, if Pat and Jim would have us back, we'd happily return again and again.
Thank you, Delmi and Tom. It was our pleasure to meet you both, learn a bit about your creative lives, and to share our guesthouse with you. You'll always be welcome - any time. Perhaps the next time you find yourselves in our corner of the world, there will be more Uber drivers to provide a more expanded and convenient service ... we're glad it worked out in the end. Happy travels.
All best, Pat and Jim
My fiance and I loved our stay at Pat and Jim's guesthouse. They're very warm hosts, and the place was exactly what we were looking for- close to the towns and wineries, but still scenic and relaxing. We only wish we could have stayed longer.
About the Host, Pat And Jim
We live in a serene rural setting framed by the foothills of the coastal Santa Lucia Mountain range. It was love at first sight when we discovered our property on a trip from L.A. in the 90s, and visitors often tell us they feel the same. I am a writer and my husband, Jim, is a fine art black and white photographer. If your interests lean toward photography, Jim now offers small group and private photo tours at the nearby beautiful and historic Santa Margarita Ranch. The Guesthouse apartment --furnished with your privacy, comfort and relaxation in mind -- provides an ideal centralized location for exploring every corner of this beautiful county and beyond. It offers a welcoming retreat from the city, a creative environment for writers, and a perfect "base camp" for photographers and other artists.
