Pat and Jim were great. My girlfriend and I were greeted upon arrival. The guest house is great! It came stocked with eggs, muffins, milk and water. We purchased taco materials and the kitchen worked out great. The only way it could have been better was with a WI badger basketball win. Beautiful place!!!
Pat and Jim are the most thoughtful hosts. We would definitely stay there again. We loved staying at their guesthouse which had all the conveniences you could wish for: the apartment was impeccably clean, comfortable and well equipped. We loved sitting on our private porch and watching the birds in the morning, and the stars at night. The apartment even has binoculars for bird-watching. Although they don't allow dogs, they are just down the road from our favorite and very reasonably priced dog boarding place -- El Camino Veterinary Hospital.
Thank you for your kind words, Jacqui and Henning. It was an absolute pleasure and delight having you stay in our guesthouse during your visit to the Central Coast's wine country. We were especially pleased your little dogs could join you during the day and then rest, safe and comfortable, just a short drive away. We wish you the very best in all your travels and we'd welcome you back any time! Pat and Jim
I lucked out in my choice, arriving to a very clean, cozy, well-supplied apt. with treats like homemade jam and fresh eggs. Its in an oak-treed enclave right next to 101, but as others said you'd never know, while right out the windows are views of the foothills. Its separate from the main house, so private. The place heated up in moments on the cool nights. The balcony was delightful on a warm morning. The bed is perfect with those quality sheets and there are stacks of thick towels, a fully stocked kitchen, and HBO! Best of all, you can just hop on 101 and head where you want to go. (Nothing much right there.)
WOW! I cannot thank Pat and Jim enough for making our anniversary so so special. It will be one of the most memorable ones for sure. The guest house is absolutely immaculate, as is the bathroom with all the amenities you could think of and more. They had everything from, toothbrushes, razors, shampoo, hairdryer and even dental floss. If you so happened to forget anything, I'm sure Pat and Jim would have gone out of their way to make sure you had it. The pantry is well stocked, with every flavor of tea imaginable :)
The fridge had eggs, milk, cereal, water and sodas! Wow, we didn't even need to go to the store. Oh and the blue berry muffins were absolutely delicious.
I hope we get the chance to stay hear again some day, it truly is a home away from home.
I think I would want to stay here again, if only to say Hi to such wonderful people like Pat and Jim. Thank you again for making it so special on our anniversary. No 5 star hotel comes close to everything you did!
Thank you, Najia and Ahmed, for your very kind comments and for being such lovely guests. We would welcome you back any time. And we once again wish you a very happy 3rd wedding anniversary and a lifetime of continued happiness, laughter and memorable journeys together. Pat and Jim
Staying at the B-W Gallery Guesthouse was amazing. The guesthouse is exceptionally clean and user friendly. Jim and Pat are great hosts, helpful when needed and interesting people. Pat goes above and beyond in providing really everything you could possibly want or need. Fresh muffins and bagels, fruit, wine, cereal, milk, eggs, butter, coffee - and I'm sure that I am forgetting some things. The bed and furniture were very comfortable, and the setting was quiet and lovely. Very good location to launch into the many attractions of the area. Jim and Pat are very helpful when asked about where to find places in the area and have great suggestions. I really can't say enough good things about this experience!
Thank you for your very kind comments. Both you and Linda were lovely guests and we would welcome you back any time. We hope you've been able to soak up enough CA sunshine during your journey up along the coastline to sustain you when you return to MN ... as we mentioned, please send our parched state any snow pack you can spare. Pat and Jim
What a wonderful AirBnB experience! The hosts were welcoming and informative - Jim even lent my husband his bike to take on some local trails. The apartment is located over the gallery so there isn't anyone under or above you - very quiet. The bed was comfortable, with plenty of extra pillows and quilts if need be.
Anything we asked for (a bit of flour, etc.) was left outside our door. I'm still stunned by the lovely breakfast foods stocked in the kitchen - homemade jam, fresh ground coffee, ripe pears, and fresh eggs - and so many other little touches to make you feel at home.
I chose the Atascadero location because it was centrally located and close to I-101, which turned out perfect for day trips in any direction.
The only hiccup was the wifi only worked in the bedroom; after a few frustrating days, we set up the cell phone as a wifi hotspot which solved the problem. Jim indicated that prior guests didn't have this connection issue so I'm guessing it was the age of my Mac.
Bottom line: highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone wishing to explore the region and would not hesitate to stay again if we have the chance.
Thank you for your kind comments. We enjoyed meeting you both and we're glad you found our location convenient as you explored various corners of the Central Coast. We're sorry for the inconvenience regarding the internet. Normally the wifi provides a strong connection for our guests. We believe a problem that resulted in a temporary outage as reported by our internet service provider during your stay may have been the culprit. We've rechecked the wifi connection since and will continue to monitor it in the future. We wish you well in your travels and welcome you back any time. Pat and Jim
We were in town to spend some time with our son who is attending college in the area. The Gallery Guest House is nicely furnished and quite comfortable. We cooked multiple meals in the well-appointed kitchen. Pat and Jim are thoughtful hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Hi Jim and Robyn, Thank you for your comments. It was a pleasure to meet you both and have you stay in our guesthouse over the Thanksgiving holiday. It was especially gratifying that you brought such beautiful weather with you to enjoy during your visit with your son. We'd welcome you back anytime. Pat and Jim
(email hidden) Gallery Guesthouse was amazing! Pat and Jim stock the place with all the essentials including eggs, milk, and fruit. There was also freshly ground coffee, teas, water and sodas. I was astonished at how well-kept the guesthouse is and really felt at home amongst the charming atmosphere. The view is also amazing, with lots of open land and wildlife to be seen. I would absolutely recommend staying here and am sure I will be back again! Did I mention there was also a lovely local bottle of wine to enjoy? Such great hosts!
Thank you, Andrea. The feeling was mutual -- you were terrific guests ! We're pleased you enjoyed your stay with us while you successfully combined work and pleasure during your visit to the Central Coast. We hope your travels take you both to many fun places and we'd welcome you back any time. Pat and Jim
Great hosts, excellent location!
The B-W Gallery is located equal distance from all the important locations (Paso Robles, SLO, Morro Bay) and is yet far enough away from civilization to truly relax.
The guest house is in excellent condition, fully stocked with toiletries in case guests forget anything. There are muffins, eggs, and fruit for breakfast. Most importantly, outdoor seating. We spent 3 days 2 nights in the area and sampled 8 wineries between San Simeon and Paso Robles, ATVing in Oceano Dunes SVRA. One thing is for sure, we will be back again.
Thank you for your very kind words. It makes us especially happy to know you both enjoyed your stay in our guesthouse and found the surrounding areas easily accessible and inspiring in your ongoing adventure with photography. You were delightful and thoughtful guests, we recommend you to all other airbnb hosts, and we welcome you back any time. Pat and Jim
