Pat and Jim welcomed us so warmly it almost felt like we were family when we arrived. They completely outdid themselves in hosting with providing freshly ground coffee in the fridge, organic eggs, milk, petitely sliced fresh fruit, fresh bread, local wine and more! The place is spacious and very homey. Take time to enjoy sitting outside on the the front balcony. I wish we had explored the gallery below but just ran out of time. There are plenty of places to visit from here, this is a very central location. But really, you could bring a good book and simply enjoy the peace and quiet on this beautiful property.

We had a wonderful experience at this airbnb. There were thoughtful and abundant amenities provided for us. They thought of everything we could want or need and it was presented in a well organized way. Everything was very clean and the food provided was fresh and bountiful! We loved sitting in the adirondack chairs outside and enjoying the morning and night views. Thank you Pat and Jim! We will definitely return on our next trip to the area.

We stayed at Pat's and Jim's place for two nights and had a great time. They were both really nice and helpful and the place was bigger than expected, clean and had everything you needed, including breakfast. I would definitely come again, thanks again for the nice time!

Just stayed this previous weekend at Pat and Jim's guesthouse... and all I can say is wow. This was my boyfriend's and my first time using AirBnB, and they set the bar so high for all of our future hosts. We could not have chosen a better place to stay for a weekend getaway. First off, Pat and Jim are the epitome of great hospitality. Communication was a breeze with them, and the amenities in their home were endless. Things like shampoo/conditioner, water, fresh fruit, coffee, and even pastries were provided. It was like staying in an upgraded hotel! Now for the place itself; such a quaint, adorable home. It is about the size of a one-bedroom apartment, so perfect for a single person or a couple. The living room was the scene for our relaxing wine night, and the kitchen had all the supplies/silverware we needed for the entire weekend. The bathroom was clean, and well-stocked. The air conditioning was a plus as well. All in all, I will definitely be returning. Thank you Pat and Jim for the great weekend stay.

Three years have passed since we made a quick stop at Pat and Jim's during our Wine Country honeymoon, and we are happy to report that our recent stay at the B-W was just as beautiful, serene, and accommodating as we remembered. Pat and Jim accepted us in open arms, stocking our fridge with cream puffs, homemade granola, huge smiles and a plethora of great advice about hiking, shopping and other activities in the surrounding area. If you're southbound after leaving Pat and Jim's place, don't miss out on Jim's advice, and drown your sorrows at Lake Cachuma. It is gorgeous.

Thanks so much, Eedan and Boaz, for your kind words. It was a pleasure to welcome you back. We're especially glad you had the time and interest in taking Hwy. 154 and were able to enjoy the beauty of that lovely alternative route on your way back to L.A. - and to cap your visit to the U.S. We wish you both the best of everything. My husband and I recently completed our 4th annual visit to Pat and Jim's wonderful guesthouse and had another great time. The apartment is always comfortable, well-stocked and private yet the location is within easy driving distance of just about everything on the central coast. We love it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great getaway spot.

We live in a serene rural setting framed by the foothills of the coastal Santa Lucia Mountain range. It was love at first sight when we discovered our property on a trip from L.A. in the 90s, and visitors often tell us they feel the same. I am a writer and my husband, Jim, is a fine art black and white photographer. If your interests lean toward photography, Jim will be happy to open the first-floor gallery, which exhibits images he's taken alongside the work of other nationally collected and award winning local fine art photographers. The Guesthouse apartment -- furnished with your privacy, comfort and relaxation in mind -- provides an ideal centralized location for exploring every corner of this beautiful county and beyond. It offers a welcoming retreat from the city, a creative environment for writers, and a perfect "base camp" for photographers and other artists.
