  • The hosts were great, the room was lovely, and the location was very convenient to all of Charlotteville. I had a great stay, and both the breakfast and the company at breakfast were fantastic. Communication and ease of booking/check-in were top notch as well. Very recommended.

  • One of the best travel experiences of my life. I spent two weeks here while studying medicine at the nearby hospital. The family is full of hospitality and the building is amazing. Beautiful stained glass windows, 100 year old hardwood floor, gorgeous antique cabinets and decor, shiny wainscotting and moldings, and even suits of armor! Reg's breakfasts are awesome: fresh baked cinnamon rolls, maple bacon, and homemade bread. I was lucky enough to stay in the apartment which is beautiful, huge, and as comfortable as anything can be. The friendly hosts bend over backwards time and time again to ensure you're enjoying yourself. "Thank you" to Shelly, Reg, Gary, and Jeff for making my experience on PEI perfect

  • Good overnight experience. Booking was smooth. Gary's replies were always prompt and complete. Didn't meet Gary because this is a small hotel and not the more typical and personal type of airbnb property. There's a staff member on duty from early morning until mid-evening.

Very clean and quiet back room with small refrigerator and recently renovated en suite. Perfect location for downtown Charlottetown, which is entirely walkable. During a late September weekend, easy metered street parking until dusk and limited free parking behind the property. It may be less available during peak tourist season. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

  • Found this place on airbnb when we decided to visit PEI for a day. Great price, great location in downtown, and our room was very clean. We were very happy that it came with a private bath, as some rooms on airbnb don't. The old house which is now the hotel has been beautifully refurbished. The only feedback we can give is, because it is a refurbished older home, sounds tend to echo throughout. You can hear footsteps on the wood floors from the lobby. Otherwise it was very quiet and relaxing. Staff were very helpful in directing us to local eateries.

  • The Tailor Shop is in a very convenient location in Charlottetown and is a great little historic hotel with lots of character. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful. The common space and the rooms were very clean. The bed was very comfy!

The label of 'boutique hotel' had me thinking that the hotel would be a bit different than it was, but it still served the purpose I needed it to. Clean, good location, comfy and great staff.

I also stayed at their other property, a B&B called the Colonial Charm Inn. I would highly recommend it as well. It has so much character, the staff are AWESOME, you get a yummy breakfast and the location is also great.

    Either location is worth it!

  • Everything was perfect as expected!

  • Great downtown location in an historic building & we were greeted by a very friendly host. It was a very convenient place to stay but I feel the whole place needs a facelift. Not really a boutique hotel but has the feel of an outdated B&B instead. It is a shame because the property has a lot of potential and character.

  • We stayed in Gary's hotel for 4 nights and had a great time. Gary and his staff could not have been more hospitable and accommodating to us and our baby.

  • Gary's hotel was in the perfect location in Charlottetown. It's walking distance to tons of great restaurants, bars and attractions. We had no problems parking and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. There was a nice sitting room with fresh cookies, tea and coffee. We enjoyed our stay very much, felt the price was very fair and we would definitely recommend this hotel to others!
