Interaction with guests
We live in our home so will be around to welcome our guests but are both quiet people and will only interact with guests if they so wish. Otherwise, we want the guests to feel as comfortable in our home as possible.
Within walking distance of South Hadley's Main Street where you can find Town Hall and the South Hadley Public Library. This area also has wonderful hidden trails for walking and jogging. One vantage point is the bridge to Holyoke with its lovely view of the "falls".
While public transportation in this area is limited, our home is within walking distance to the R29 (Holyoke Mall - Amherst) and X90 (E. Longmeadow - Springfield - Chicopee) PVTA bus stops. More information on these routes can be found on the PVTA website. Uber is also another way to get around. Also, if travelling onwards, or coming in from out of town, Bradley International Airport (BDL) is about 30 miles (40 minute drive) from our house and the Holyoke Amtrak station is a little under 2 miles away (5 minute drive).
Other things to note
Please note that the room is on the second floor while the private bathroom is located on the first floor. This will require climbing a flight of stairs.
I am a person who loves to travel and meet new people. I came to the Valley to attend Smith College, fell in love with the area over those four years, left for a short while, and recently moved back. I am currently "dissertating" so I spend most of my time reading, writing, and testing out new recipes on my husband.
