•DuPont Circle is one of the city's most vibrant, eclectic neighborhoods and is a great location from which to experience Washington, DC. In DuPont Circle (Park) itself you can play a game of afternoon chess, participate in group yoga or listen to the strum and hum of the various local musicians who make "the Circle" a meeting point. The neighborhood is filled with wonderful restaurants, shops, cafe's and grassy parks; plus the DuPont Circle Farmers Market is one of the largest in the city. You are just 2 blocks from the Redline Metro stop, and can walk to historic Georgetown, George Washington University, The World Bank, and IMF, Embassy Row, think tanks and museums among others points of interest.
•You won't need a car with the great access to public transit from this location, but if you do have one it is fairly easy to street park within a block. The Metro Red Line stop is on DuPont Circle at Connecticut, just 2 blocks away. Go to the WMTA website to plan your use of the metro system.
DuPont Circle - one of the most interesting and cutting-edge neighborhoods on the Eastern-seaboard!

This is a nice, roomy apartment in a great location just a few blocks from the Dupont Circle metro. The neighborhood has a good selection of eating spots and other activities. Among our favorites: Kramerbooks/Afterwords Cafe and the Phillips Collection, a wonderful compact museum of modern art.
We've stayed in some urban AirBnB apartments that are ultra-modern, just-renovated showcases. This wasn't one of them. It's an older place, where you can see a few signs of wear and hear a bit of your neighbors. But even during the cold snap and the heavy snowstorm we encountered, we felt comfy and taken care of here.
We bumped into Charlotte one day on the front steps on our way out, and she was very friendly and welcoming.
There was no host to greet us but we were given explicit instructions about the property and entry before we came. Really appreciated the "keyless" entry system. Property was in a fantastic location with wonderful restaurants within a short walking distance. Unfortunately upstairs neighbors were heavy footed in the mornings and we heard them walking around as well as the floor squeaking above the bedroom. The property was quite spacious and we just loved the neighborhood.
Thank you for the tips, hangers seem to have walked off on their own accord, we will order more! I appreciate the tip on the armoire, that is a good point particularly in the summer months to keep that and all doors ope to get circulation.
Again, we appreciate you having taken the time to write a review and thank you for the kind words. We hope that you will stay with LUXbnb on a future visit to Washington.
With warm regards,
Charlotte Perry with LUXbnb
The apartment was in a nice neighborhood. It is a very convenient location only a block from many nice little restaurants, near DuPont Circle, and close to everywhere we wanted to go in NW DC. The apartment is clean and the outdoor space is great for hosting. The kitchen is functional, the bedroom comfortable, and the living room is adequate for a few people. The eat-in kitchen is bright and sunny. The bathroom has a great jaccuzzi tub!
Charlotte was very good at communicating with us before our visit.
Beautiful place - really nicely appointed, all the right stuff in the kitchen, I stayed nearly 2 weeks, and it was perfect for that - spacious and light and well-equipped. The location is fantastic -- right on Dupont and walking distance to Logan Circle, White House, etc. I was there during two very cold weeks - the heating is great. Really no complaints at all.
This apartment is a lovely, spacious apartment in a pretty residential neighbourhood. If you do not mind a 10-15 walk (which is pretty usual in a big city), you will find loads of restaurants in the Dupont Circle area. You are also right next to rock creek park. And the trolley shuttle (to the tour line) runs from the Marriott hotel around the corner. A 20 minute walk takes you to the central Foggy Bottom stop.
We walked a lot but we also used taxis a bit. We found that we could get to Georgetown, Foggy Bottom, and many other places for $6-8 taxi ride.
The apartment is charming with antique furniture. The apartment has a lot of character and it is decorated with good quality durable things and many furnishings or finishes from pottery barn. The bed was comfortable. Also, the kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans and utensils. You may need to bring your own condiments, sugar, etc...
Overall, we had a very nice stay at the apartment and we would likely be happy to stay there again.
Charlotte is also a super-host. She provides tons of tourist information and we even found guides in the apartment.
Coming from France, we spent a wonderfull time in Charlotte Perry apartment in Washington DC Dupont Circle area, one of the place to stay in DC.

Our latest addition are vacation properties for Washingtonians. See the Washington Vacations section on our website for homes in the nearby mountains. Take a few days away from the bustle of the city to explore our bucolic countryside little changed over the past 2 to 3 centuries. Visit wineries and orchards, significant Civil War battlefields and historic towns, hike the Apalachian Trail or follow in the footsteps of our founding fathers by visiting their homes. There is plenty to do that beckons you to leave the city for a weekend or a week.
A bit about me...I am a former Californian who, after 12 years in DC, is now an honorary Washington native. Being well traveled both domestically and internationally has given me a great appreciation for the enrichment contact with others brings to our experience. I am well-versed on the "must-see" sights, monuments and museums of our culturally rich city, along with the unique experiences your find only in Washington. We share that insight with our guests in our property Welcome Guides which we send upon confirmation.
We very much enjoy hosting visitors to our Nation's Capital and ensuring that they are able to make the most of their visit.
