It was our 3rd stay at Damir's wonderful Flat.
We enjoyed it again, as the previous times.
Location is really central.
Its clean, its comfy.
The view by night is stunning... a whole ocean of houses as far as you can see.
I would deffo book that flat again next time.
My friend and I were visiting Istanbul for a three day city break. Damir's apartment was perfect for our trip. It is located a 2min walk from an area with lots of vibrant nightlife and restaurants, and 30min walk (or a short taxi ride) to the Sultanahmet area where the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Grand Bazar can be found.
The apartment is true to the photos, it was a nice haven to retreat to when we needed a break from the bustle of the city, and it has great views across the city. It's up five flights of stairs so you'll have strong legs by the end of the trip.
Damir was a great host and he greeted us from our taxi, got us settled in and recommended a few places to eat and drink in the local area. When coming from the airport we recommend having his mobile number at hand to pass to the taxi driver as the building can be tricky to find the first time.
We felt we only scratched the surface of Istanbul in the short time we spent there, and if we came back we'd love to stay at Damir's apartment again.
Thanks for Damir to providing us a great place to stay during we are in Istanbul. The flat is placed in a great spot to go everywhere. It is 5th floor that made us hard to move our lugguage but it rewarded to a beautiful view in Istanbul. In the morning we can enjoy sunshine, in the night time we can be attracted in night view. We didnt need to go somewhere to enjoy night view! The flat was very neat, elaboratley decorated and had everything that we need. Also Damir was so nice and and pleased us to stay in Istanbul. I really want to visit again in Damir's flat if I go Istanbul
The apartment is in a really great location, very vibrant but silent. The view is amazing and provides some urban dreams. One step out of the apartment you are in the middle of Beyogulu which allows you to have short walks to everything. Next is a 24/7 local store where you can by almost everything. You can pick cabs every hour during day and night in front of the apartment.
The apartment is spacious, well equipped and tastefully furnished and designed and blends the old building's atmosphere with some modern Turkish elements. For a group of 4 it was perfect to hang out in the living room/kitchen for some breaks from the urban buzz. or get a power nap in the comfortable beds.
Damir introduced us to the neighborhood. Was right there in the apartment when we arrived, even though we came a bit later than expected. He was immediately available when we asked to turn on the heater when the cold came back in April for one day.
If you want to explore Istanbul's urban buzz and have a comfortable apartment where you feel home this apartment and Damir is a very good choice.
Good location. Kind host. Even 5th floor without lift does not bother much.
