First time in Seattle. Outstanding location for a workshop I attended nearby. Wonderful variety of local restaurants, Volunteer Park for running/walking, yoga nearby and don't miss the scones for breakfast. Accommodations as listed and I the keypad entry was easy to use. Bonus: Fur "people" allowed.

I didn't get to stay this trip but I've had a number of friends stay here and say great things about it. Smaller units are clean and great for people going out and exploring.

The posting is on point. A small, private space that allows easy in and out, with plenty of food and bars close by. Room was clean and functional.

You can't get better then this... Such a friendly, clean and communal space. Scones in the morning with coffee? Amazing. Location? Perfect. People? So accommodating. I hope this is available during my future visits to Seattle!

Exactly as advertised. A small and utilitarian space with all your basic amenities covered. Bath soap, towels, and a hair dryer were provided. Easy access to public transport and in a safe community.

I can't say enough good things about this place (so I'm going to say a lot to try to convey how much I love it)! I had an absolutely fantastic time during my stay in Seattle and the best part was going back to my room for some relaxation and preparation for the day ahead after traveling with a big group of friends. Alone time is absolutely essential for me and I love that I had my own private room with shower and bathroom but also common areas where likeminded people hung out. I met so many friendly and cool people during my stay I was floored! I had the privilege of meeting Eric, the owner and creator of the gorgeous facility that is spacious and SMART. You can tell he is passionate about his work and he is very hands on with the facility after building it himself! The day I was there he was fixing the water heater and I really appreciated his candor. For me, it's much more personal when you know this is someone's small business, not a hotel chain. I really like that! The rooms are very intelligently designed to utilize space most efficiently and I never felt cramped or uncomfortable. I love that we used codes for entry and not keys or cards that could be lost. The worst part of traveling, for me, is staying at hotels that charge you $200/day for a shower and sleep while you have to stay in areas that are overly crowded, often noisy and feel touristy. This b&b skips all the bad parts of finding accommodations and puts you in Capitol Hill, just a couple miles from downtown but with a budding and exciting charm and life of its own featuring mom & pop coffee shops, bars and eateries. Truthfully, I could immediately see myself living in the area and felt quite compelled to never make my flight home. Coming from Chicago, I truly felt like I was on an actual vacation because of the quaint an relaxed atmosphere of the neighborhood this Airbnb is located in. I intentionally decided to walk home from outings almost every night because I simply enjoyed walking around and seeing all the unique parts of the Capitol Hill area along the way (walking 3 miles was a treat, not a task). I wasn't concerned about my safety in the slightest, not because I hail from the murder capitol of the US, but because it's genuinely a safe place to walk around with many young people and students strolling about. Everyone who works at Roy Street Commons is very personable, helpful and non-intrusive. If you need something, they are there but, unlike at hotels, no one is knocking at your door trying to rush you out for maintenance at any given time during the day. If you know how to keep a space clean and your belongings in order as an adult and aren't a complete slob, you will do just fine....
