A lovely and hip mid century house with private room and bath, sleeps at least 2, great for a couple. Only 2 miles from downtown, and one mile from the hip and fantastic South Congress Avenue and South First Street. A truly great location.
Lovely private ground floor bedroom in a small but cool mid-century home. Private small bath with standing shower, no tub. Access to full house with all amenities.
South Bouldin Creek, close to downtown Austin (less than 15 minutes) and fab South Congress Ave.
Is currently furnished, can be unfurnished for longer stays.
Guests have full access to their own private room and separate private bathroom... AND all shared areas, which include: kitchen with gas cooking and large fridge, new energy-efficient washer/dryer, TV room with Dish cable, open living room, dining room, locked garage for some storage, and private/fenced backyard.
2 from downtown / major festivals like SXSW and auditorium shores. Tons of amazing restaurants within walking distance or a quick few bus stops away. Quiet neighborhood, extremely bikeable!
City bus stop very closeby, less than a 5 minute walk. ON the 5 / downtown line, only one bus stop from downtown! Free parking for yourself and guests is always open and available on the west side of the street.
I have a cat, she's lovely. I also have a dog who is mid-size, energized but very quiet and well-behaved. I love a clean home. No drugs or smoking (you can smoke outside), but there are a lot of happy hours! It's a chill space, I love peace and my record collection and record player, great sound system. I'm into art and magazines, food and friends.
To skip to the conclusion, Sarah's house and hospitality were excellent. I stayed 6 nights and would have gladly stayed longer if I could have.
For my first time at SXSW, and first time in Austin, I chose to stay with Sarah because she already had several positive reviews and her photos showed a clean/calming/cool and comfortably sized space to go along with the private bedroom and private bathroom.
Sarah has one dog and one cat who are both very quiet and well behaved.
Sarah knows Austin very well and was able to answer any questions I had about getting around or points of interest. She also proactively gave me plenty of advice.
My Uber trips to and from downtown averaged ~$12 for 10-15min trips, and probably half of that to the center of South Congress strip full of great casual restaurants.
Wifi connection was flawless
The neighborhood is residential and safe, but a good 15+ min walk to any type of restaurant or convenience store.
Water pressure was decent. Water temp was slightly tricky.
Square footage and modernness is probably a personal preference. I've lived in NYC for 10 years, and give those things a pass as long as something is clean/safe/quiet.
What a lovely stay in this oasis in the 04! Sarah was kind and helpful. Her home is very peaceful. I wouldn't hesitate to book again.
The reservation was canceled 7 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
I stayed 5 weeks at Sarahs place. Everything is like it looks on the pictures. Quiet and comfortable. Sarah is a good host, takes care of everything. She gave me two free days, since I arrived earlier than expected. That was really great! This place is ideal for business trips.
Sarah was great! Very accommodating and flexible to what you need when you stay. She was a great host and also offered her own tips on where to go / what to do - highly recommend.
I enjoyed staying with Sarah, from the second I walked in she was kind and open about her expectations. I ended up staying longer than expected since I was buying a home in a crazy market. Sarah was very accommodating as my schedule changed almost weekly. Amazing location, super comfy bed, relaxing house, Sarah was great I enjoyed my stay.
