The room is painted white apart from the external wall which is of original brickwork.
The ensuite bathroom has a double shower, a wc and wash basin. The room has an opening window.
Wardrobe cupboards are located in the bedroom.
The flat is located in a breathtaking building and the room is nice. John has been a friendly and caring host, who knows a lot about architecture and arts. To me personally, his care was a bit too much in the end. He has two very cute cats. However, I am super allergic, and not knowing about his pets caused me quite some health issues during my stay. In sum: a place to stay if you are not allergic to cats and manage seek for close personal contact with your host.
We stayed at John's place during the Tour de France Grand depart in Yorkshire. The iconic building Silk Mills is amazing, and John's flat is beautifully designed, with 2 sweet cats (1 shy and 1 curious). The room is clean and quiet, with a comfortable bed. Most importantly, it was a pleasure meeting John; we greatly enjoyed our conversations with him.
John was an informative and generous host and his apartment was extremely comfortable. I stayed there for the weekend in order to watch a game at Valley Parade. The stadium is just ten minutes walk away, so practically perfectly located for my purposes. The city centre is roughly 20 minutes walk away. There are plenty of Pakistani restaurants nearby also too and all are reasonably priced.
