BLUE HERON Lake Cottage is located at Lake of the Woods, a 500+ acre all-sports natural lake in the heart of Amish country.

18 miles to Notre Dame Stadium. There are many regional festivals and events for the entire family.

100% remodel with brand new furniture and appliances. Beautiful location with the lake just steps away. Bring your boat or use the canoe,row boat, or Paddle Boat at your own risk. Available in season only. Play water volleyball, relax and swim.

The space
BLUE HERON is an open, single story cottage with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and easily accommodates 6 to 8 with overflow sleeping in the loft (Referred to in the Listing as Bedroom #4) for an additional 1 or 2.

All 3 bedrooms are on the main floor. The loft is accessed by a drop down ladder. A signed Loft Agreement is required in order to use this area. The owner will also demonstrate its proper use for insurance purposes. Common sense mostly.

Super clean, unique and interesting one-off furnishings. A well equipped kitchen with all new appliances. A comfy screened porch for evening conversation and a glass of ???. The outside eating area seats 4 and has a gas grill with propane provided.

Guest access
You and your guests will have full access to the home, including the screened in conversation area on the attached porch, where smoking is permitted.

The detached garage is not included. There is plenty of parking for 4 to 6 cars and your boat trailer as well.

Walk down the lake easement to the edge of the water and enjoy the sunset, or take the canoe, paddle boat, or rowboat out (in season. ) A variety of life vests are always available in the Gazebo.

In the Gazebo just ask Alexa to play your favorite Sirius/XM station. She usually complies!

Other things to note
There are rules for the LOFT and the ladder that lowers to access this area. (See photos)This LOFT AGREEMENT is to assist you in operating this feature safely. It is intended for overflow sleeping on a queen size, deluxe inflatable mattress. Please ask for a copy of this if you need access to this area. Thank you. NOT for young children. 14 and up more or less.

While COVID rules are now suspended by AirBNB, Vicky and I (mostly Vicky) maintain the cabin in a sanitary and healthy environment.
