There are two bedrooms (double-single), bathroom with sitting tub, laundry machine, small open plan kitchen with wooden cupboards and gas cooker and oven, small but comfortable sitting room, big windows with mosquito nets and big veranda with magnificent views. There is a 2 acre garden with flowers and big trees (wallnuts, chestnuts, pines)
The house is away from the main road, (80 meters down a stone-paved path) so the place is very quiet. Our location is Pelio mountain which is one of the most beautiful mountains in Greece. It is a peninsula inside the Aegean sea and it is surrounded by sandy and pebbly beaches with crystal clear turquoise- blue water. They are all within a comfortable drive of 20 min to one hour depending on the choice.
All around the mountain can be seen (and heard) little rivers and streams of sweet clean water running down from the sources higher up. This is why the vegetation here is so lush.
Ideally one should rent a car to drive to the beaches and different sights because the public buses, though comfy and air-conditioned are a little sparse. There are many nice inexpensive restaurants within walking distance from the house. We do not allow flesh consumption in the property (milk products and eggs are ok) so when the taste demands, the restaurants are a good option.
The location is unique on account of its extremely beautiful and calm surroundings. xx
This experience was even better than expected. We read the reviews and had excellent communication with Atma before arriving so we expected her to be a great host. More than a host, she's a friend, plain and simple. She wants to meet you and is excited to recommend hidden corners of the area.
The photos also set our expectation of the beauty of the place. We had a very comfortable cottage with a expansive view of the mountains and bay. What we didn't expect was the amazing village that this is all set in. Milies has ancient stone pathways that lead from the cottage up to a classic Mediterranean mountain town full of restaurants and cafes. It has a very authentic and unspoilt feel to it. It's just a short drive to some of the best beaches (Fakistra, Mylopotamos) that I've ever visited. The Pelion Peninsula is incredibly underrated and under-discussed. I will be recommending it and Atma to any friends interested in avoiding overdeveloped areas and seeing the wild and unspoilt Greece.
We felt blessed staying in Alexandra's charming sweet little house. Pelion is heaven and Alexandra is an angel. We spent there two dreamlike weeks and we will most certainly come back. Peace and beauty surrounds you everyway you go. The house location is ideal, so quiet you can hear yourself blink. The view from the balcony is wonderful.
Alexandra's welcome was so warm and friendly we felt right at home. Thank you Alexandra for this fantastic time. See you again soon.
A very nice experience in a very beautifull place. We spent 4 days in this quiet old house with a very nice view in to the montain and the sea.
The village of miles is close to the house and there is every thing you ´ll need.....
The beach a close to and you can chose between est side beaches (in egian sea) or west side beaches (in the golf)
My last world is for Alessandra who is a very plaisant host, the perfect host!
I recomend this Alessandra's house at 200%!!!!
The place is like its owner. Alexandra and her place is one of the bests we have ever visited. Fantastic panorama view, authentic stone house, very calm and interesting village. Fantastic beaches are in 20-60 minutes drive and great mountains for tracking are in 2 minutes walk :)
Last but not least Alexandra share all the greens she has from the garden.
Alexandra is a generous host with a truly special place! My sister and I enjoyed the most beautiful views, comfortable accommodation and many locals beaches and restaurants at Alexandra's recommendation. If you're lucky enough you may even get a chance to sample the homes delicious organic veggies :) Thanks Alexandra! We hope to see you again sometime xox
