About this listing
Old stone-made cottage located in extremely beautiful and natural surroundings, peaceful.
There are two bedrooms (double-single), bathroom with sitting tub, laundry machine, small open plan kitchen with wooden cupboards and gas cooker, small but comfortable sitting room, big windows with mosquito nets and big veranda with magnificent views. There is a 2 acre garden with flowers and big trees (wallnuts, chestnuts, pines)
The house is away from the main road, (80 meters down a stone-paved path) so the place is very quiet. Our location is Pelio mountain which is one of the most beautiful mountains in Greece. It is a peninsula inside the Aegean sea and it is surrounded by sandy and pebbly beaches with crystal clear turquoise- blue water. They are all within a comfortable drive of 20 min to one hour depending on the choice.
All around the mountain can be seen (and heard) little rivers and streams of sweet clean water running down from the sources higher up. This is why the vegetation here is so lush.
Ideally one should rent a car to drive to the beaches and different sights because the public buses, though comfy and air-conditioned are a little sparse. There are many nice inexpensive restaurants within walking distance from the house. We do not allow flesh consumption in the property (milk products and eggs are ok) so when the taste demands, the restaurants are a good option.
The location is unique on account of its extremely beautiful and calm surroundings. xx
