My cool and comfortable floor-through apartment makes a great temporary home in NYC! It comfortably fits two and is located in the heart of Alphabet City. It's an easy walk to most downtown neighborhoods as well as to Brooklyn via the Williamsburg bridge.

The Space

My clean, comfortable home is spacious and stylish. It is a typical "railroad" apartment- 4 rooms that run from the front to the back of the building. The windows in the front overlook the street and the windows in the back overlook a small courtyard. It is one flight up from street level (walk up, no elevator). The living room in the front is bright and sunny, especially early in the day. The kitchen in the back is also bright and sunny, especially in the afternoon. The bedroom is quiet, with a full size (double bed). The apartment has wifi, TV and a docking system for an ipod or iphone. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, utensils, etc. I have a stove top espresso maker. Sheets and towels are provided.
The apartment is cleaned by a professional every other week during your stay. There is a $75.00 cleaning fee payable in cash upon your arrival.
The bathroom is clean and freshly renovated (1 year ago). There is a full bath and shower with great water pressure. In keeping with the typical railroad design, there is only 1 sink in the apartment, which is in the kitchen.
There is no laundry in the building but there are 3 laundromats within a block of the apartment. Laundry can be dropped off or you can use the coin machines.
Security deposit is $1000.00.

Guest Access

Definitely no smoking allowed in my apartment (not on the fire escape either). Absolutely no overnight guests (aside from the person or people booked to stay) and no parties, although you can have friends or family (people that you know well) stop by for a visit while you are in the apartment with them.
This is my home and I value it greatly! It'(email hidden) to live. I'd like to have guests who enjoy it and value it as I do.
This is a great building. It's small and the residents all know each other. It's very important to be respectful of the neighbors and to be quiet in the hallways.
I'd love it if you could water my plants and flower boxes while I'm away!

Interaction with Guests

The East Village (email hidden) to stay during your visit to NYC. You can walk from here to everywhere downtown and it's also an easy walk (or bike ride) over the Williamsburg bridge to Williamsburg, Brooklyn. I'm steps away from the Lower East Side, blocks away from Clinton Street Bakery and Katz's Deli. There are tons of beautiful community gardens and parks in this neighborhood. Tompkins Square Park (great for people watching, picnics ) is close by and there's always something going on there; farmer's market (Sundays), outdoor movies in the summer, Halloween Dog Parade etc.
The nearest subway station is the F train station at 2nd Ave. and Houston St. Also close by is the J,M,Z station at Delancey and Essex.
The M15, M14A, M9 and M21 buses all run close by.
I'm located very close to Tompkins Square Park. There are many Citibike (bike rental) stations within blocks of my home (for the record I think biking is an amazing way to explore Manhattan and Brooklyn). Close by is the East River Park with a bike path that goes up to 34th Street and then down and all the way around lower Manhattan and all the way up the west side. The nearby Pitt St. pool (email hidden) to do morning laps.
This area has tons of bars, restaurants, cafes, shops and galleries. It's a great area to wander around, both day and night, and to get lost in the excitement of the city. You'll love it here!

  • We stayed at Fee's apartment eight days in may.
She is kind and helpful. Answered very quick and was very patient about our questions and doubts. During the days in NY she interested about our stayed and necessities and she wrote an amazing list of restaurants. She decorated the house with natural flowers and leave some coffee and milk in the fridge.
This charm apartment is confortable and with a good situation. The underground is about 10 min. walking and there are a lot of restaurants, laundries and supermarkets in the area.
The neighborhood is full of live and not very noisy. We slept all the nights without problem.
If we return to the city, we'll repeat our experience in this cool apartment! A real newyorker stay ;-)

  • This NYC pad is so great! Fee, the hostess, is very accommodating, thoughtful and attentive. My wife and I stayed for a week and couldn't have been happier with the comfort of her place. A couple nice touches that Fee had for our stay:
-Fresh flowers everywhere! My wife and I always have fresh flowers in our home so it made us feel at home just that much more.
-A bottle of wine upon arrival! So nice to get in after traveling and relax with a glass of wine.
-A list of recommended restaurants. Very helpful.
-Slippers. There is a shoes off policy and Fee provided slippers. Although my wife and I brought our own. If you know the streets of NYC you know they are covered in dog poop, pee, and people barf. I'm not kidding it's all over the streets. So knowing that you are walking around on clean floors at your pad adds another layer of comfort. My wife and I always travel with our slippers anyway so I would recommend bringing your favorite pair.

Overall, Fee's pad is like staying at your sister's house. Clean, stylish, and comfortable.

  • We had a great stay at Fee's place!
The house is warm and clean. The neighborhood is super funny and young, lots of nice bars and restaurants.
I would definetely recommend you to stay there while in NYC.
    Want to come back soon!!!!

  • My husband and I spent six wonderful days in Fee's apartment. It is in a fantastic location just south of Alphabet City in a great neighborhood that is both hip and "very New York." One great advantage: It's only one subway stop from Williamsburg.
The apartment was immaculate when we arrived and very pleasant to be in throughout our stay. We had one small glitch the first night, but Fee came to our aid immediately.
Fee (email hidden) -- both warm and friendly and efficient in dealing with rental issues. Before our arrival, she asked if we had any questions or wanted any recommendations, particularly for restaurants. When we got to the apartment, she had written up four pages of recommendations! All the ones we tried were excellent.
We would love to return to Fee's apartment one day and highly recommend it to other travelers.

  • Fee was the perfect host - clear communication, immediate responses, and a beautiful, immaculate apartment in a great location. The building harkens back to the tenement era of the early 20th Century, and thus lacks some modern aspects that new construction might afford. However, I found that to be a charming feature, rather than a drawback. You really get a sense of the neighborhood as it used to be. When you are staying at Fee's, you are staying in a carefully cultivated home, including fresh flowers, clean linens, and an understated but spot-on sense of style. I can't recommend her highly enough!

  • Fee’s apartment was everything she described : cosy and stylish. The place was super clean, nice, with a lot of space. We had everything we needed. Fee was always available to answer our questions and needs by text. And also, she recommended some great places to eat from her neighbourhood - you have to try Peels !

The neighbourhood is great with a lot of shops, cafés, restaurants, the best of (email hidden) could offer… And the street itself is not so noisy. We stayed 9 days and would definitely come back. It’(email hidden) to stay while you’re on vacation in NY and if you're looking (email hidden) in Manhattan !

  • I just stayed a week at Fee’s apartment and only have nice things to report about the stay. The apartment was clean, everything needed was available and the place is very cozy. Fee (email hidden) and from the beginning, she made us feel very welcome with fresh flowers in the apartment. She was easy to get in contact with both before we arrived and during the stay and did a great effort recommending places according to our interests. I will definitely recommend a stay at Fee’s apartment.

  • We had an amazing two-week stay at Fee's apartment. It's exactly as described - cozy, clean and stylish and in in the heart of everything the Alphabet City and East Village has to offer, including bars, cafes, restaurants, shops etc.
Fee (email hidden), extremely responsive to all of our queries and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable - including greeting us when we arrived, leaving fresh flowers in every room, dropping off towels with directions to the beach when the weather heated up, and accommodating our awkward check-in and check-out needs.
Overall we were really happy with the apartment and with Fee as a host and fully recommend you consider staying when visiting NYC. We definitely will if we're able to return!

  • I stayed in Fee's beautiful East Village home and I had a great experience! I really loved it! The place looked exactly as it looks in the photos. The apartment was very fresh and clean and was very comfortable and homey. The street was not noisy at all. I had no trouble sleeping.
Fee herself was very quick in responding to all messages and questions. She helped me find a great yoga class in the area so I could distress after a very busy day!
I loved the area! Lots of bars and restaurants and shops and gardens!
The building itself is old but it has lots of charm and character.
I would love to stay here again and I will definitely recommend it to any friends and family that are visiting New York!

I am a 30 something NY area native. I love this city! I have traveled extensively and have lived and worked in London, Milan, Paris, Sydney, Dublin, Vienna, and Hamburg. I have been in NYC on and off since I was 16 years old. I've never been a host before but I think I'll be good at it. I've traveled a lot and stayed in many temporary apartments or rented rooms so I have lots of experience as a guest that will make me a very conscious host.
