We had an amazing, relaxing trip... Just what we asked for! The morning of our trip, I received a message from Richard saying there was a small private cabin in Jackson that was available and if interested it was ours. So glad we did! Between the clean, cozy, up to date cabin and not to mention the outdoor jacuzzi...this is where we will be staying every time we come back up North!
If you have been traveling a little bit, when you think about a Bed and Breakfast, you have a pretty clear idea: you will sleep in a very charming room that has been invested by the hosts, you will meet the hosts, have a little chat... in brief, you will have a personalized experience. This is not what is going to happen in this «B&B». I never met the hosts. I met three different personnal, one was very hospitable, the other two, not much. We had a very minimalist room that has been patched up over time with the cheapest material. The bathtub leaks so you have to shut the barhroom door to get some sleep, but the door doesn't close because there is a door knob, but no latch! So if you need intimacy to go to the bathroom, well, too bad! The dresser has no knobs on the last drawers. You want to know what happened to this house in the last 240 years? Well, nothing has been preserved. There is not a single picture on the walls. No spirit.
We had a lovely stay! So mellow and cozy. Cute bed and breakfast and unique. Everyone was so nice and willing to answer any questions. Would stay here again.

this place was truly the shabbiest B&B we have ever encountered. The inn was built in the 1700s and could be very quaint if the owner had invested some money into restoring it to its original character. Unfortunately, he does everything the cheapest way possible. the 1980s carpeting attempts to cover a very uneven floor, the rooms have no air circulation (the windows are painted shut but for an air conditioner), the water in the shower runs hot and cold, and the furniture is bargain basement. Even the salt shakers have rusted shut. Although 2 of the 3 staff present were nice, the 3rd was surly and inhospitable. There is no one to greet you upon arrival (the owner does not live onsite). We've had much better breakfasts at the Hampton Inn. Our advice is to search for another place, of which there are many, in North Conway, and pay a few more dollars to find a better experience. The total charge per night was NOT worth what we received. More than half the guests while we were there were from France; we were embarrassed to think that this B&B might be their first impression of America.
