Interaction with Guests
I am looking forward to making new friends and sharing the beauty that is Hawaii with those who stay at Angel's Nest. I am happy to share my knowledge of the island, just ask.
Our neighborhood is small, beautiful, peaceful, quiet and charming, perfect for strolling thru, either on your way to the beach or just for the sake of a stroll thru the neighborhood. You may enjoy the vine swing on one of your strolls or just the many beautiful flowers and plants. You may discover one of the lesser known paths to the ocean. Perhaps you may want to hike to the lava, it's just a few miles down the famous "red road". At the end of the "red road" you will find Uncle Robert's awa bar, be sure to check out the Wednesday night market at Uncle's, it's the place to be! Next door to Uncle's is the Kalapana Café, a great place to get something tasty to eat. Going the other way on the "red road" just a short distance (still in the neighborhood) is the Ramashala Yoga retreat and just a mile or so farther is the Kalani Honua Yoga retreat. In between those two is "Space" where there is a fabulous farmers market on Saturday. A few more miles down red road you will find Ahalanui beach park, also known as the warm pond. Further still you will find Kapoho tide pools, a famous snorkeling spot. Sunday there is the Makuu market, it is the largest of the markets. Also on Sunday there is ecstatic dance at Kalani and the drum circle at Kehena Beach, so much to do, so little time!
best to have a car, the bus goes by twice a day except Sundays, but unless you plan to pretty much stay put or hitchhike, you will need a car.

Let us know if we can do anything to improve your stay, for instance, are we being too loud? Gabriel is a musician and many guests enjoy his playing, but if you would prefer quiet, please let us know.
Angel and Gabriel are wonderful hosts who take a special effort in making thier guests feel welcome and at home. A beautiful yummy fuit basket was awaiting us every evening of our stay. The room is cosy and clean and Angel elaborated every detail of where and how for us. She even gave us cocos to drink and we shared a lot of conversations.. I was truly at home and not wanting to leave :)
Merci Angel pour votre accueil tardif.
Pour notre 1er experience ce fut parfait!

Nous conseillions cet endroit.
Angel is a wonderful host. She makes you feel like at home and is entertaining and caring. Wonderful location in a lush rainforest garden. Thanks for your support and the tip with the massage! I can highly recommend this place and would love to return there.
We really enjoyed our stay at Angel's Nest. As soon as we arrived, Angel and Gabriel made us feel so welcome, bearing gifts of fruit and muffins. Set in a beautiful jungle environment, with huge mango and palm trees and several papaya and breadfruit trees, their place is home to about 5 cats and a multitude of coqui frogs singing all through the night and part of the day. You may need earplugs to help you sleep, but then you'll miss the distant roar of the ocean breaking on Kehena Beach. Exploring the beautiful coast road between Kalapana and Kapoho is a must, as is a snorkel visit to the Kapoho tide pools. We missed the Sunday drum circle and the Weds night market in Kalapana, but hope to catch both of them next time we visit....soon, we hope..

When I arrived I was greeted by Angel; the look on her face defined the entire experience. She welcomed me with the most sincere, honest, smile I've seen. The "nest" was immaculately clean. And Gabriel is a wonderful artist and musician. The kicker was the morning bowl of friut..Very quite, relaxing, and comfortable room with private ohana.
My hostess was amazing! She picked me up from the airport when I was stuck without a ride. She provided fresh fruits and veggies every morning. And when I got cut on the lava at the beach, she nursed my ankle to health! All that and a clean lovely room.
My host was great too although I didn't see as much of him.
Very sweet, warm and beautiful people. My stay with them was quite wonderful.
