About This Listing
This cozy bedroom has a lovely full-sized bed and is nicely furnished. It is very quiet in this space.
The bathroom right next to it is large, light and airy, Depending on the activity in the house you may have to semi-share it, but usually not.
The house is wonderful, built in 1929 as a summer cabin for SF people. Views across the Bay, from Oakland to the Dumbarton Bridge. Amazing garden with a unique "outdoor room" and a hillside full of lavender. Lots of places to explore on this hillside home. Feel free to use the well-equipped kitchen and relax in the living room. Fireplace is available...also a hot tub (with at least a day's notice).
Gorgeous and Taz are the friendliest dogs ever and will greet you effusively (but not in a jumpy way)
Off street parking, brick stairs to the house. Enjoy!
Note that public transit isn't great here. If you are on bike, you will really work hard! There are lots of walking and hiking trails fairly close by, as well as a couple of restaurants only a mile away.
We follow the Golden Rule here. Clean up after yourself and be respectful as to noise. There is absolutely NO SMOKING on the premises.
Beautiful home and location- a little far up into the hills, but overall a nice relaxing place to stay. I wasn't aware there were 8 others and 4 dogs in the house though! I would ask before you stay how many are there. Fortunately for me, I love dogs and get along well with others. Great folks though.
It was dark when we arrived. Cath's little boy came out to show us the way to the house. We were very impressed by the beautiful night view looking down from the house on the hill. The room and the view looked the same with the pictures shown on airbnb.
Cath was a very nice host. Once we settled down, Cath recommended a local Mexican restaurant to us. She even drew a map and explained the favorite dishes for us. It was the first time we tried Mexican food and we quite enjoyed it.
During breakfast in the next morning, we had nice talk with other guests.
Mostly, we were satisfied with Cath’s accommodation except that it was a little bit inconvenient that we could not take our travel luggage to the house. Probable we did not ask for help or solution from Cath about our luggage.
Dogs were mellow, people were friendly and welcoming, room was clean, house was beautiful, view was amazing. And the pillowcases were hilarious!
Cath is a most sweet host. She's such an easygoing person that I felt free at her house.
AND I miss Gorgeous and Taz, her two dogs! T^T
AND the house itself, the VIEW, everything, is beyond description.
AND the housemates are all awesome people.
I really wanna come back later.
Cath is a very warm and generous hostess. She's welcomed me and my extensive baggage with welcome arms (my two big dogs and six year old daughter).
Her beautiful hilltop home with a stunning view is a perfect getaway.
Cath handily accomplished what most AirBnB hosts could not: she warmly welcomed and looked after my daughter, my two dogs and myself. As a tribute to the wonderful experience she provides her guests, she hosted a party attended by previous long-term guests who have since relocated within the area. It was a wonderful time, and Cath's effusive praise from so many people served to confirm what I quickly realized: I found a real gem.
Thank goodness for AirBnB!
What a nice time with Cath and her pals Gorgeous and Taz (pictured). All was as hoped with the accommodations and only sad I couldn't find a way to get the boat bed in my pickup and haul it home! (You'll understand if you book with Cath)
Airbnb folks will have a sweet time with everything here including a grand view of the bay and Redwood City, CA!

About the Host, Cath
The house is perched atop 1.2 acres with an amazing unobstructed view stretching from Oakland to the Dumbarton Bridge. Trying semi-successfully to grow veggies, yet my garden is lovely---my dogs have the run of the place. Please consider me an excellent resource for the area, as I've lived here for over 20 yrs. and am well connected. I love most music and am a HUGE fan of the Monkee's (so don't hold that against me). Born in Oklahoma yet have travelled quite a bit and have lived in many places. NEWS FLASH!!: We just created a FB page! Fraser's Perch would love your visit--upload your photos and join the fun at any of our events. Welcome!
