The Subway station is 150 mt close. You can reach the apartment from the main station with 6€ taxi or two Subway stops; or from Tegel airport with 16€ taxi.
The apartment is located at the first floor (US second floor). In the bedroom there is a double bed (160x200cm), and the living room can sleep two more persons in a large designer sofa-bed (160x200cm mattress) with a real, thick mattress. Both rooms (bedroom and living room) are NO walk through rooms and enjoy separate access to the dining room and the bathroom.
The kitchen is small, yet I lived in this apartment with my girlfriend for five years and had no problem in preparing dinner even for many guests (and I am Italian, so I love cooking!). There is two cookers and a sink. There is also a small oven with vent function. Stoves and cutlery are refurbished every three months.
The building is dated 1886 and is under historical heritage protection by the city. All floors have parquet; there is decoration on the (high) ceiling. The apartment has three windows on the Auguststrasse, which is very quiet and has a park; and a fourth window (the bedroom one) facing the inside yard, full of green.

This apartment worked out very well for us - great location and good amount of space. The term 'luxury' is perhaps a bit of an exaggeration, but it is certainly clean and functional, and has the charm of an older building without most of the potential flaws of age. The towels were on the thin side and the bedroom a little crowded (access to the bed only from one side), but the mattress was very comfortable. Overall, the value was excellent.
Très bel appartement, calme, confortable et proche des restaurants et du centre. Idéal pour découvrir Berlin en couple ou en famille. Stefano est très disponible et met tout en oeuvre pour que le séjour se déroule au mieux.
A recommander sans hésitation!
A real good place to stay in a very nice neighborhood. The apartement is cosy with nice furniture and everything you need. And the streets around is full of restaurants, bars and galleries!
Close to transportation and the city center.
Excellent location, very helpful support from Stefano and Dana, lovely apartment. I would certainly recommend this for a break in Berlin.
Fantastic location, quiet, yet surrounded by restaurants and art galleries and shops.
Connections are really easy and very close. The apartment is very spacious, fully equipped (notice wi-fi!) and one feels a very warm cosy home feeling. Spotlessly clean and a good central heating. I recommend it for a couple, family or group of friends up to 4 people.
Maps and guides provided. Good bargain, much better than a hotel.
This was the first time I had used Airbnb and it was a fabulous success. Stefano was a wonderful and welcoming host and the flat itself was perfectly situated and very comfortable, even better than described. It was icy out but toasty warm inside. The wonderful coffee maker was the icing on the cake! I would highly recommend it, my god-daughter and I had a wonderful weekend.
My mother and siter likes the interior and the environment around Stefano's place. This is the place you want to stay again.
clean, cosy and very friendly and organised! couldn't have hoped for a better experience. The flat was perfect for us and was close to everything, and surrounded by great bars, cafe, galleries and restaurants.
