If you are not big about walking, you can take the free shuttle bus that takes you to Atlantic station from my place literally right in front of my unit. But the scene is beautiful, many people walk in the evening with their beloved ones. On the way to the Atlantic station, you will see a little creek and the Triumphal Arch replica (like the one in Paris). Inside the complex, there is gym and swimming pool. you will have your own parking spot during the stay. We have a secured spot inside the parking deck. There are many stores in Atlantic Station for window shopping. If you are a Jazz fan, you can just sit in the middle of Atlantic Station and chill. There are many table sets to sit there. Clair and Yon are very graceful hosts and made me feel very welcome. Room and bathroom were as described in the listing and in addition the entire downstairs was at my disposal for most of the time - even though I was not there much. Overall a very positive experience and highly recommended.
Listing was exact, and the apartment was very clean and well organized. The host was incredibly welcoming and attentive, as was her husband. The location is great, close to both Atlantic station and Georgia Tech. The bed was very comfortable (queen sized!) and there's even a fridge in which to keep some perishable items if you're there for a longer stay. The guest bathroom was used only by the guests during the stay, which added to the privacy of the stay.
Quick summary: nice room, great location, even better hosts!
Clair and her husband, Youn, were incredibly welcoming right from the start and by the end of the stay it really felt like I was staying with friends. They went above and beyond, were incredibly generous, attentive and hospitable which left me wanting for nothing, but still respected my privacy and weren't overbearing. They gave loads of suggestions for everything from places to eat and shop to how to get around, if I had any questions they were more than happy to help, and good at it too. They let me use the kitchen as well as any herbs and condiments I needed freely and were even kind enough to share a few of their meals with me.
The condo/apartment is very nicely furnished and Clair and Youn keep it immaculately clean and very tidy in all areas. The room was a nice size and had plenty of closet as well as drawer space for my clothes, as well as a full-size fridge-freezer stocked with some drinks and snacks in the corner. The windows face East so had amazing unobstructed views of the Downtown skyscrapers as well as getting plenty of early light from the rising sun. The bathroom was just like it was pictured, kept very clean and was stocked with plenty of clean towels for me to use. The only downsides of my entire stay were that as the bed is a sofa-bed which I think spends a lot of time folded up, there is a slight slope on either side of the bed towards the middle (lengthways) so I found it more comfortable to sleep to one side, though this wasn't a huge issue. Secondly the fridge would start to buzz fairly loudly every few hours which would last for around half an hour. This did disturb me a few times and did wake me once but on the whole was perfectly bearable.
As other reviewers have said the location is fantastic, being a ~5min walk from everything Atlantic Station has to offer, including the free shuttle which stops quite literally steps from the building exit. This runs in a circuit, stopping closer to Atlantic Station if you don't want to walk and to the MARTA Arts Centre station where you can get on the subway or get a bus to other parts of Atlanta or even some of the surrounding counties, like I did to get to work in Marietta.
In summary, I had a wonderful stay with Clair and Youn, who made my first week in the States a pleasure and I would love to stay with the again.
Clair and Youn are great! They were extremely gracious and accommodating. The apartment was lovely and it was located in a very safe and upscale part of town. Highly recommended if you need (like me) to attend a conference in (or be central to) midtown.
Great experience. This was my 3rd AirBNB stay and it was great. My wife had previously never used AirBNB and was a little anxious and hesitant before, but now she is more than happy to use AirBNB in the future. Our stay well exceded our expectations!
The apartment is just as pictured - clean, modern, and tastefully decorated. Great city view too. Location is nice and convenient.
The room was comfy and private. Everything we needed was provided and then some - coffee, fridge in private room, they even offered us breakfast.
They are friendly and gracious hosts. We enjoyed chatting with them and will definitely stay here again should the need arise.
My stay with Youn and Clair was great. I was there for one week and they were very generous and helpful for the duration of the stay. Being so close to the Georgia Tech campus as well as the Publix across the street was a big plus as well. Definitely check them out if you are looking for a place near the Tech campus, or midtown for that matter.
This was, plain and simple, my best experience in Airbnb. I stayed at Claire's place for a month during July 2014. Not only was she an amazing host, but she was an incredible and generous cook. The house is big and beautiful. You have your own, spacious room with a private bathroom. And the best thing: you have your own fridge. The location is perfect, very close to anything you need: just a two minute walk to the Atlantic station mall and you have a free shuttle in front of your door to Art Center MARTA station.
Claire and Youn are, on the one hand, very sociable and willing to engage you in their activities and, on the other hand, they are very respectful of your privacy. I strongly recommend you to stay here and I will definitely visit them again should I come to Atlanta in the future. Thank you Claire and Youn!!
Youn and I are newly married couple.
We are Koreans but we have been living in the States since our middle school year. I've traveled all around the world as a journalist while Youn traveled within the States.
We love to cook, exercise, shop, watch movie, listen to jazz, participate in different city events, and experience new. I enjoy cooking ethnic food. Every day must bring me a new flavor! My husband comes from an engineering background while I have a journalism background. We are the city lovers, enjoy every corner of our neighborhood as much as traveling outside of the country.
We both can be active, we love to interact with new people from different groups. We are very tidy and organized so our host doesn't have to worry about us making a mess. We normally travel freely, so when a guest visits to our house, we will try to give them as much as freedom to make them feet at home.
