NOTE: Please make sure you read my entire listing. I'm getting many requests now so I want to make sure you have all the information you need before sending me a request. Three of the most important points which are often missed are: a) you'll need a car b) there's absolutely no smoking and c) we are not in San Francisco but rather are 25 minutes south and 20 minutes north of Stanford. Now that that is handled...
Welcome to our special home.
The house is located in the hills of Belmont about 25 minutes from San Francisco, 20 minutes from Stanford, 25 minutes from the ocean at Half Moon Bay. Our house is not the easiest to get to (but I'll give you great directions) but once you're here you'll think you were at a resort in a beautiful nature area. It's a hidden treasure of a place though the deer found it first and apparently aren't going anywhere. They let us stay too, however.
Our location is gorgeous. We have spectacular views of San Francisco and Oakland and our backyard leads straight onto gorgeous hiking trails. You will have use of the Master Bedroom which has a California King bed, the child room which has a single kid bed and a double bed and the guest room which has a King size bed.
You also have the use of the open-concept kitchen, the laundry, the bonus room (with games and many books), the laundry room, and the outdoor patio/bbq space.
Public transit is not easily accessible from our location so you will want to have a car.
Come spend time in a very special and inspiring home away from your own home.
$230 per night for up to 3 guests: Additional guests are $40 each. (If you're a family of 2 adults and 2 children we will count that as 3 people).
Two children count as one so house charge per night is for one family of four. For four adults please add one extra person and so on. Two families with two kids each? Please add 3 additional people.
We have charged a low cleaning fee just for the basic cleaning and laundry. Please leave the house clear of clutter and dishes. We offer our house for a lower than market rate but we'd like it be treated well in return.
Lisa's home proved to be a perfect spot for our family of seven adults and one baby to spend a few days together. Lisa was great to communicate with via email, and even though she and her family were away on vacation at the time and we never met face-to-face, everything was ready for us when we arrived. And we knew she would be accessible by phone if we had any issues.
The home is set in a hill-side residential area of winding roads, about a 5 minute drive from a commercial area including grocery store.
The house is large and roomy. Each of the three couples had their own bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. Our single son also had his own sleeping quarters with a bed set up for him in the playroom.
The open-concept kitchen/dining/living room space is huge, with an absolutely incredible view of the bay area and San Francisco off in the distance. It was the perfect space for hanging out, cooking, eating, and playing games together.
About a half hour drive from S.F., Belmont worked well as a base from which to do a couple of day trips into S.F. and to Napa valley.
We would definitely recommend Lisa's home as a great place for a family reunion, and all of us agreed that we would love to stay there again some day.
We had a wonderful time in this fantastic house. Once we got there we could enjoy a great view over the bay, while our kids could would play in the garden. Lisa was a wonderful host, one problem that came up was solved fast and straightforward. We can only recommend this place.
Beautiful home and the owner was very responsive and easy to work with. The kitchen and views are especially nice. Just note that there isn't a TV in the house - not a big deal for me any my wife although my parents, who we were traveling with, were a bit bummed. Great airbnb experience too - first time - and will definitely be back. Thanks.

Tell us something about YOU...are you traveling for fun or business? Do you plan to be in the house working all day on the computer or getting up in the morning and exploring the Bay Area or heading for the office? Where do you live and why did you pick my house?
