Sleep in a Tree House Yurt with a king size bed, reading chairs, fully equipped kitchen, bath with flushable toilet, deck, charcoal grill, and campfire.
On our 70 wooded acres, hike the lower and upper trails, walk the fieldstone labyrinth, visit whimsical meditation corner, see mountain views and sunsets, pick blackberries in season, roast marshmallows under the stars, and do absolutely nothing. Nearby go swimming, kayaking, horseback riding, attend concerts, visit quaint towns, museums and a bookstore village, dine at local restaurants featuring local foods.
Oneonta and Delhi are 20 min away; Cooperstown is 35 min; Albany is 1 1/2 hr; NYC is 3 hrs. You can take a bus from Port Authority in Manhattan to Delhi, where we can provide transportation.
The 2 yurts are open 3 seasons; a mountain chalet is open year round.
And...........if you would like more than our nature to nurture you, choose personal or couple coaching, and other professional services.
Loud electronic noises are unappreciated by the owls, deer, chipmunks, rabbits, birds and wild turkeys.
The yurt and the property were just beautiful. Even our first night--in a pretty intense rainstorm--the yurt was cozy and comfortable. The yurt was spotless, with a spacious bathroom that had good water pressure, convenient kitchen area and a comfortable bed. My husband and I loved the experience and would return. Chris was welcoming and helpful, directing us to activities and restaurants. The location is out in the woods, as described, so expect spotty cell access (1-2 bars), which I kind of found to be a nice added break. The location is a short drive to several good restaurants. We ate at Autumn Cafe in Oneonta and Table on Ten in Bloomville. Both great with good veggie options.
We had a wonderful time in the yurt! Since we were coming in late at night Chris called, gave us extra directions and left the light on for us. She also came down to make sure we had everything and gave me lots of helpful information about the local farms and restaurants; a perfect host! It was clean, spacious and a lovely getaway. We are ready to go back.
Chris is fantastic, perfect hostess we couldn't be happier staying at Harmony Hill the place is beautiful our Yurt was very comfortable, clean, well equipped and so relaxing. The area around has a lot to offer for families and curious explorers. Chris was very helpful as a result our weekend on the Catskills was a truly pleasant experience, will definitely recommend staying at Harmony Hill.
The Yurt was great! My gf and I had a relaxing weekend with all the amenities of home. The grill was ready with charcoal and the campfire was ready with wood. The property has wonderful areas to explore and the Yurt is really comfortable. Highly recommended.
My idea of retirement was building a small retreat center for folks to have a private space and getaway of their own. I left my psychotherapy private practice in Orlando to build my home on this little mountain and live here year round. Along with a business partner who lives in Florida, we built 3 treehouse yurts and a fieldstone labyrinth. My weeks consists of operating the retreat center, bush-hogging the trails, doing individual or couple coaching, writing or drawing, and enjoying the fresh air and peacefulness of this beautiful rural area.
I so enjoy that guests are able to unplug and let our nature nurture them. It's the perfect place for me to allow the blossoming of my own spiritual nature. I can't imagine living anywhere else, doing anything else.
