Sweet Springs Chalet is a cozy, unforgettable escape on a 9-acre farm with lush woods, pastures, Mountain View’s & the gentle lullaby of nearby rivers to lull you to sleep.This 760 sq.ft attached studio is fully private and features a kitchenette, full bath, queen bed, fireplace, fuzzy blankets & dimmable lights. Cuddle sweet farm animals, wander thru blooming gardens & peaceful woods, stargaze by the outdoor fires glow & savor a delicious farm-fresh breakfast delivered each morning.
The space
Important NOTE: guests booking July 11th and July 16th Please take into consideration before booking that breakfast on Sunday July 12th and 17th will be pastries delivered to you the night before instead of homemade breakfast. This is due to not being available to cook Sunday morning.

Dear Guest,
By booking your stay on our working farm, you acknowledge and accept the following realities of rural life with a smile, a sense of adventure, and preferably closed-toed shoes.
1. Dirt Happens:
Yes, it’s a farm. There will be dirt. On the road. On the ground. Possibly on you. If your expectation is spotless sidewalks and manicured everything, you may have taken a wrong turn.
2. Bugs Exist (and We Do Try!):
Yes, bugs are part of the package in the great outdoors. That said, we do our part to keep things comfortable—we have a natural pest control service that comes out biweekly to help keep unwanted guests in check. Even so, you’ll most likely still encounter the occasional ant, spider, fly, moth, or some mystery insect that refuses to follow the rules. Consider it part of the full farm experience—eight legs and all.
3. Animal Sounds (AKA Nature’s Soundtrack: Uncensored):
Our animals are vocal. Chickens gossip, roosters believe 4:30 a.m. is the perfect time for a concert, distant cows complain, and our guardian dog bark at everything from predators to the suspicious leaf blowing in the wind, this is his job. But springtime? Spring is mating season. You may hear some passionate barnyard conversations that can’t be unheard. If you’re traveling with children, it might suddenly become the perfect moment for The Talk, or at least a crash course in “how baby goats are made.” Consider it farm-fueled sex ed—live audio included, no parental controls available.
4. Wildlife Is Not Curated (Nor Available for Meet & Greets):
Beyond our friendly farm animals, you may spot deer, raccoons, skunks, wild turkeys, or a hawk eyeing our chickens like it’s ordering takeout. That’s just day-to-day life out here. But please be aware—this is also home to less sociable neighbors like coyotes, foxes, bears, and the occasional cougar (the wild animal kind, not the human kind). Do not feed, approach, or attempt to cuddle any wildlife. This is not a Disney movie, and things could get very non-magical, very quickly.
5. Guardian Dogs Are On Duty:
Our guardian dogs are loyal protectors of the livestock/ property. They may at times bark at clouds, shadows, owls, or your reflection in a car window. They are not aggressive toward humans, but they take their jobs seriously—union benefits pending.
6. The Drive-In/ Location
We’re about 15 miles (aka a solid 20+ minute drive) from downtown Cottage Grove—yep, way out in the country. If your idea of a getaway involves honking horns and corner stores, this probably ain’t it. There’s no Uber & no late-night pizza delivery. The studio is attached to main house but fully private. If that sounds like a nightmare, do yourself (and us) a favor—book closer to town. But if peace, stars, and farm vibes are your thing & your ok with a beautiful country drive…Welcome home. 🐐🌌
If you’re coming from the south, fair warning: navigation systems love to get “creative” and may lead you off the highway onto winding country roads that are not always paved—or particularly smooth. Expect bumps, potholes, and the occasional “Is this really a road?” moment. We strongly recommend staying on I- 5
From either direction, you may also encounter an escaped cow or two living their best life.
Please note: this charming backroad journey comes with zero cell service or Wi-Fi. While most GPS systems will still get you here just fine, we highly recommend printing off directions or screenshotting your route before you enter the land where signal bars go to die.
8. Weather Is Wild:
Nature does what nature wants. It may rain, snow, freeze, fog or fill the sky with massive double rainbows—sometimes all in the same day or even all at the same time and without warning. Welcome to Oregon, where the forecast is mostly “yes”.
(mostly pertaining to spring, fall, winter but you never know)
We do NOT offer refunds for Mother Nature’s cheeky sense of humor, unexpected plot twists, or any sky/land drama- unless God starts issuing them first.
9. Farm Smells Are Authentic:
Yes, it may smell like animals, hay, compost, blooming flowers or something you can’t quite identify. That’s called aroma of authenticity. Chanel hasn’t bottled it yet.
10. Full Disclosure:
If your reason for requesting a refund includes dirt, leaves, bugs, barking dogs, farm sounds, smells, unpaved roads, or seeing a spider in the barn, please know these are considered features, not flaws, and are not eligible for compensation.
By staying here, you’re agreeing to live like a local—if only for a few days—and embrace the rustic charm (and minor chaos) of real farm life. We’re thrilled to share it with you, dirt and all.
