This was a wonderful retreat in a lovely neighborhood. Very clean, cozy and comfortable with a kitchen the chef loved. We even saw four kangaroos down the street. We hope to return to this little sanctuary in the Blue Mountains and stay longer.

We had a great stay at Gerard's cottage. Gerard was very helpful and responsive to our questions prior to our arrival and during our stay helped to problem solve a light that went out in the bathroom. His thoughtfulness shined through in various details around the cottage from fresh flowers in the bedrooms to extensive kitchen supplies and local walking guides. Our 3.5 year old daughter loved playing in the attic space. We agree with one of the previous reviewers that dinner at the Imperial Hotel was disappointing but we found quaint cafés in Katoomba .

Gerard was of great assistance, especially before we reached his historic cottage, in keeping us abreast of the latest news on the forest fires in the Blue Mountains and in giving us great driving. directions. The cottage was more than adequate to Adrienne and me as we enjoyed the two downstairs bedrooms ( there is a third upstairs) a cozy LR, a well appointed kitchen and BR. The cottage is clean and we enjoyed meeting Gerard on the weekend of our three day visit. We highly recommend.
