Modern, yet charming penthouse duplex with balcony in a quiet street in Sandviken. Bryggen and the Fishmarket in the centre is only a 10-15 minutes walk away, so are popular mountain hikes. Enjoy the romantic bedroom, morning sun at the balcony, Italian design kitchen and unique top floor livingroom.
The apartment is situated on the two top floors of a 100 year old building, totally renovated in 2008. The standard is high with modern qualities, and the furniture and decor a mix between old and new to make it feel like home.
The master bedroom has a comfortable, 140 cm bed that accomodates two people. A third guest may sleep on the big sofa in the living room on the top floor.
On the first floor of the apartment you have: entrance, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, bedroom with double bed and a chaiselong, bathroom with shower and washer/dryer, and a large balcony with (possibilities of) morning and afternoon sun. Up the stairs to the loft you find the livingroom with a section for relaxing, one for working and one for eating. Not to forget the french balcony with an unusual view of Bergen.
Due to a steep staircase between the kitchen and the livingroom upstairs, the apartment is not suited for small children.

The area of Sandviken gives you the best of what Bergen has to offer. Central, yet quiet and charming. You have access to all the sights and attractions of the centre, as well as different hiking possibilities in two of Bergen's seven mountains. There is a large, popular park 150 meters away. You'll find a grocery shop with fresh food, a drugstore, a 7-Eleven and a cosy café within 5 minutes (website hidden). The street view option usually shows a neighboring street, not mine.
The apartment is situated 7 minutes walk from the last stop of the Airport Express Coach at Bryggen. The nearest busstop with buses to the centre is 80 meters away, and there is one with buses going/connecting to most destinations 300 meters from the apartment.
A parking permit is necessary to park on the streets in the area. A guest parking permit costs NOK 100 per day and must be purchased in advance. Let me know if you want me to arrange this for you.
