I needed a place to get away and picked Big Bear. It's not too far from home, but felt like a world away. Everything about this cozy cabin nestled in the woods was described perfectly. But I think the best part of this experience was dealing with John when I needed help with anything. He was the most gracious, patient, and caring host, and it was more than a pleasure staying in his beautiful cabin. Thank you John!!
John sent detailed instructions on the home and the area which was nice. Information on air B&B was accurate. It was a nice place to stay. Had everything we wanted for a quiet weekend get away. Sugarloaf is close to big bear lake and the surrounding communities to explore.
My friend and I spent a girls' weekend at this house. It was a really lovely place to be. It is tidy and nicely decorated, and John has things well marked. There is a nice walking trail just up the street if you want to enjoy a quiet amble through the woods!
John's cabin is beautifully decorated, nestled in a really neat part of Big Bear. he has all the necessary amenities, and everything is labeled to avoid confusion. We felt like we were staying in a brand new cabin. I highly recommend. Sugarloaf is a flat part of Big Bear about 10min away from the slopes.
Thanks Greg- it was a delight to have you stay in my cabin. Hope you had a chance to do some hiking which is just steps away from my cabin as it is a few houses from the national forest. I try and think like a guest for each issue that might come up to make it as pleasurable stay as I'm able to! Come back in the summer time and enjoy the lake!

About the Host, John
I'm originally from Belen, New Mexico. I grew up on a farm and became a PR professional and enjoy healthy cooking and cookations around the world. I have an herb garden and some edible plants up in Big Bear too so you'll enjoy and learn some lessons on some native and medicinal herbs when you are at the cabin too :)
