My friend and I spent a girls' weekend at this house. It was a really lovely place to be. It is tidy and nicely decorated, and John has things well marked. There is a nice walking trail just up the street if you want to enjoy a quiet amble through the woods!
Listing very accurate--very cozy cabin, very clean. Nice TV with Dish Network.
John's cabin is beautifully decorated, nestled in a really neat part of Big Bear. he has all the necessary amenities, and everything is labeled to avoid confusion. We felt like we were staying in a brand new cabin. I highly recommend. Sugarloaf is a flat part of Big Bear about 10min away from the slopes.
Thanks Greg- it was a delight to have you stay in my cabin. Hope you had a chance to do some hiking which is just steps away from my cabin as it is a few houses from the national forest. I try and think like a guest for each issue that might come up to make it as pleasurable stay as I'm able to! Come back in the summer time and enjoy the lake!
A great place to spend the weekend. Overall, it is cozy and beautiful. We had great time:)
John's cabin was perfect for our group of 4 adults & 6 kids. The cabin had everything we needed for a 4-night stay. The cabin was warm and cozy, especially after putting on a fire in the wood stove. Everything in the cabin was exactly as described in the listing. I saw in previous reviews that there were complaints about needing a flashlight if arrival was after dark. We also arrived after dark and I had my flashlight ready, but when we stepped up to the door, a light automatically came on. So John must've fixed that problem! We stayed in touch with John through text messaging but never needed to contact him with any problems. Instructions were placed around the cabin that were clear and concise (operating the entertainment center, checking-out, etc.). I highly recommend John's cabin. It was the perfect place to stay for our family!
The cabin was perfect!! Besides the cuteness and coziness, the cabin had everything we needed. Anything we had questions about there was individual typed postings that answered everything. The fireplace was so cozy and even the backyard was really inviting. We had breakfast outside both mornings :) The kitchen also provided everything we needed to cook meals. We all agreed that this was one of the best air bnb experiences we've had, and would love to come stay here again!
Thanks so much Natalie! You were such a joy to have as a guest and I do hope you had time to hike up to the national forest just a block up from my cabin. You are welcome back anytime and so happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. Isn't it amazing at night to see all the stars and moon as it's so clear up there! Thank you!

I'm originally from Belen, New Mexico. I grew up on a farm and became a PR professional and enjoy healthy cooking and cookations around the world. I have an herb garden and some edible plants up in Big Bear too so you'll enjoy and learn some lessons on some native and medicinal herbs when you are at the cabin too :)
