Great very central place with the most hospitable host Tamara who speaks English and loves having guests at her place. Free pick up from the train station, all through guidance, help in arranging your trips to Lake Baikal, home-made dinners.
Separate bedroom for 2 people (double bed) in 3-room apartment within 5 minutes walk from the train station and 10 min walk from the downtown (Kirov Square). It is a clean, cozy and modern apartment with a cheerful and most helpful host Tamara who speaks basic English. There is a computer with Internet and Wifi in your room, breakfast included. Perfect location close to the city center and the public transport stop, comfortable and quiet place (the flat is on the ground floor), pick up upon arrival. Tamara is a great cook so you can order traditional Russian dinners from her. Price will vary depending on youir choice ( anything from Siberian dumplings to pancakes with caviar!)
Tamara's place is just by the old Irkutsk bridge across Angara river, that's 5 minutes by bus to the central Kirov square or 15 min by bus to the central market. Tamara will explain in detail how you get around the city, she is always available on the phone in case you are in trouble!
I have just stayed with Tamara for a week and couldn't be happier with my experience. Tamara is an excellent hostess and I was extremely well looked after. I had my evening meals there as well, which were very good and met my needs perfectly. Tamara met my train when I arrived from Moscow; the station is close and staying here is very convenient for train travellers. The room is quiet and very comfortable and the other facilities are excellent. It is easy to get in and out of the city, either on foot or by tram or bus. I thoroughly recommend this accommodation - and its hostess!!
A warmhearted cute lady Tamara is, and her house is very lovely and most comfortable place to stay in our travel around Lake Baikal. Very convininet too, closed to the green tourist line, Lenin Street and the train station, and there's a super market Spar nearby.
Clean and confortable house. It can be found easy, most of the bus in the city will pass the place. Tamara is a nice hostess, she make us feel warm. Thanks for everything again.

I totally agree with the other guest's postscript!
Staying at Tamara's house was one of our best decision we made in our trip. She is wonderful and lovely host!
I do also recommend this place even for Asians who can't speak English or Russian well. Because~ language didn't mattered to feel the warm hospitality from her.
Le logement était bien décrit et Tamara nous a indiqué les bons renseignements nécessaire pour se déplacer ou faire des courses.

I am Tamara, my apartment is located in a quiet area near the center of town, I am retired and do not need to get up early in the morning to go to work so you can sleep on and have breakfast with me at low pace. I speak some English - enough to understand and express myself. But anyway I believe that people always manage to understand each other if they have good will and open hearts . I like to cook, laugh and learn new things. I hope you will enjoy staying at my home place.
