It was a delight to meet Sue and Kim and to stay in their very spacious and comfortable accommodation. I felt very much 'at home' and I look forward to more times in the Room. Indeed, it was perfect.
My stay here was everything I was hoping it would be when I booked. As a first time visitor to Hobart it was the perfect base for getting out and about and seeing the historic side of the city and the famous market. The location is nice and quiet but only minutes walking distance to some great eateries. The room(s) and private bathroom were really comfortable and definitely have that B&B feel. I also really enjoyed meeting Kim and Sue. They were fantastic hosts and their knowledge and advice helped me make the most of my visit.
Kim and Sue were lovely people with a get knowledge of the area which they were happy to pass on.
The house is in a perfect location. Battery Point is of great historical interest and you can spend hours just walking round this area. There is a hotel and coffee shop on the corner of Kelly Street if you are looking for entertainment or meals.
Just walk down the Kelly Steps and you are in the Salamanca Market area and not far from the wharves. You don't need a car as everything is in walking distance to the city centre. A very enjoyable stay.
Our stay in historic battery point was wonderful. Kim and Sue were great and accommodating hosts. In the room contained fun historical facts about the history of their home and also contained recommendations for the local eateries. Their house is absolutely stunning and you can't beat the location!
My wife and I stayed with Kim and Sue for 4 nights and cannot believe how lucky we were to stay in such a beautiful home with such lovely hosts. As a first time airbnb user the experience with Kim and Sue has set the benchmark on what to aim for, for our next booking. We would highly recommend staying with them and look forward to the next time we are down in Hobart. The room was of excellent standard with everything a traveller needs!
Kim and Sue made us feel very welcome. They were also very helpful and provided excellent information on restaurants and assisted with other queries we had. They are very well located. Tall people or those less mobile would have some difficulties with the bath and stairs. I was disappointed to read in the house rules that they prefer not to host GLB couples as this was not in the online listing.
Kim & Sue made me feel welcome at their listing. They suggested alternative things to do in place of my never-happened-Mount-Wellington-trip (because of bad weather), recommended good food and Redtango performance at Salamanca Arts Centre. The attic comprises a bedroom, sitting room and bathroom, all for my use. The house is conveniently located, with restaurants and cafes just a 5-min walk away. A few minutes walk to Kelly Steps brings one to Salamanca Place, connecting to the rest of Hobart City. The bus stop for the Airport Shuttle is also a 10 to 15-min away on Colville Street.
