Absolutely charming house and hosts. I travelled for work, and wasn't in the house very often, however it really felt like a home away from home. Very relaxed atmosphere. The loft upstairs is warm and cozy. It does has slanted ceilings, so watch your head in the bathroom if you're 5'7" and up. I didn't have any issues myself, but I was mindful. Coffee and tea are provided in a cute tea/lounge room next door to the bedroom upstairs. You'll have to venture out for food but luckily it's in the centre of Battery Point with plenty of options! Each night I was able to try a different cuisine! Highly recommend Environs for breaky and a "Melbourne" coffee. Thanks so much Kim and Sue.
Had a great stay with Kim & Sue, great location, comfortable and warm accomodation ,would recommend.
Kim and Sue's place was fantastic! They were very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. Very close to the action in Battery Point and some very good recommendations of what to see and do.
Kelly Cottage is the perfect place to book for a short break in Hobart. Hosts Kim and Sue were very friendly and kind. They checked that I was happy and comfortable in their lovely attic, and they shared a lot of local Battery Point and Hobart knowledge. I was especially delighted to be able to photograph snow on the top of Mt Wellington from my bedroom window and to explore most of Hobart on foot from their wonderful location. Eateries of all sorts were just minutes away in Hampden Road and Salamanca Place, as were galleries and home and giftware shops with locally made merchandise. Thank you Kim and Sue for sharing your home on what was a lovely weekend in Tassie.
What a perfect stay in such a great location in Hobart. Everything was there for an easy, relaxed stay in delightful and comfortable upstairs area rooms – bedroom, sitting room and bathroom. Private, quiet and well appointed - being able to soak in a lovely bath topped it all off. Very friendly and helpful hosts, Kim and Sue – thank you so much. We couldn’t have asked for more. Eateries all within walking distance - at the end of the street is Kelly Stairs which leads you straight down to Salamanca, and in the opposite direction is Battery Point village. We were able to try somewhere different every day. Highly recommend, Bo and Sue.
Kim and Sue were most welcoming and the beautiful cottage had it's own 'Do come in and make yourself at home' feel about it! Everything provided by Kim and Sue was first class! Battery Point is not only historic but beckons you to walk the neighbourhood and be delighted by the homes, gardens, parks, cafes and views of the Derwent River and Mount Wellington. It's the best place to stay in Hobart and Kelly Street the most convenient of all locations. I would recommend staying with Kim and Sue when you visit Hobart.
It was a delight to meet Sue and Kim and to stay in their very spacious and comfortable accommodation. I felt very much 'at home' and I look forward to more times in the Room. Indeed, it was perfect.
