  • we had a great time in Charlottesville, made even better by our stay at Suzanne's sweet home. The house is very comfortable with beautiful light and a great outdoor space. Suzanne was a champ at communicating and a pleasure to rent from. we would definitely stay there again! thanks suzanne!

  • From the very beginning, Suzanne was exceptionally kind and responsive. I was traveling without a laptop and had issues booking the stay through my phone, so I was very grateful when Suzanne agreed to hold my reservation request until the next day.

The house is an absolute gem - it's charming, clean, and has so much character. We found fresh flowers from the backyard garden in every single room and adored how books and instruments filled the creative space.

The neighborhood is in an excellent location. We were walking distance to a couple of my favorite restaurants (Mas, The Local) and a short drive away from Downtown, UVA, and countless vineyards.

We loved everything so much that it was sad to leave!

  • We were quick in and quick out, but the location was great in regards to downtown Charlottesville and it was also very easy to get to off of the highway. Suzanne was very responsive to my numerous questions and the house was spotless upon arrival.

  • Had a great time staying at Suzanne's house. Cute house on a quiet street. Comfortable beds, big bath tub, nice kitchen. The house had plenty of room for me and two friends. Very easy going house rules and liked that she offered her coffee, tea, eggs and garden produce for us to use. Within walking distance to some great restaurants/bars/coffee places.

  • Staying at Suzanne's place right outside of downtown Charlottesville was wonderful. Suzanne had been in touch with me via email before I checked in, making sure to establish great communication and offering to answer any questions. Upon arrival, I was happy to find the place as how it looked in the pictures. The home was quaint and Suzanne made sure to suggest that we help ourselves to some of the bountiful greens she had growing in her backyard garden. The home was also in walking distance (about a mile) to downtown which is filled with small shops and restaurants. Overall, it was a great stay!

  • My family came in town for my graduation and we had trouble finding accommodations that were affordable and convenient. My grandmother is 85 and we also needed something that would accommodate her mobility issues. Suzanne's home was convenient to downtown in a beautiful, safe neighborhood. She was very sweet and understanding of the craziness of graduation and we were very comfortable. The home is adorable and though small, worked well for us.

  • We were only able to spend one night at Suzanne's house b/c of our schedule. I wish we could have stayed for a long weekend. Her house is peaceful and feels like home away from home. She was quick to respond and very helpful. I highly recommend this beautiful home.

About
I grew up outside of Charlottesville on a small family farm in Free Union and recently moved back to this wonderful town. After going to college in Massachusetts, I spent time traveling abroad and lived for several years in New England. I am a full-time musician so am lucky to spend much of the year touring around the country and abroad. In my free time (when I'm not on the road) I enjoy gardening, knitting, playing music, and cooking. I do a lot of traveling for work (and have often used Airbnb myself!), so am happy to provide a peaceful downtown house to those visiting Charlottesville. I am quite familiar with the town, so please feel free to ask any questions. Best of luck planning your trip!
