My family and I had a nice time staying at this house. Most of the days were spent in and around the pool, which was at a nice temperature for us. The interior of the house is fairly spare, and the kitchen has just the basics. The bedrooms, too, are quite spare. We would have like a dressers to unpack our bags into. The house looks amazing in the photos, but could now probably use some TLC.
What a beautiful home! As mid century architecture lovers we appreciated the design elements and it was very comfortable for our family of four. The pool floats were a big hit with our young daughters and the privacy of the back yard was a hit with us. The house was impeccably clean and had all the linens, towels and kitchen items that we needed. We hope to stay here again the next time we travel to Palm Springs.
My wife and I just returned from Palm Springs where we stayed in this home with 4 of our business partners while attending our annual company convention.
As all the arrangements were done online, there was little left for us to do on arrival other than to let ourselves in an begin enjoying the beautiful California January climate (we are from Ottawa, Canada :-( ).
Initially we were a bit surprised at what I termed the "Spartan-ness" of the place. We are accustomed to staying in very nice accommodations when we travel, and the bare concrete floors, and general utilitarian feel of the place didn't match what we had expected. This was very soon replaced by a sense of comfort. The very spacious and open concept, maximum use of windows, beautiful private pool deck and private neighbourhood ended up being ideal for our purposes.
The one critique we all agreed on however was the emphasis on penalties should we fail to abide strict adherence to various rules and by-laws etc. We have several hundred people on our team, the majority of whom we only see at these semi-annual getaways. With tat in mind, we rented the house with the intention of hosting a BBQ/Wine and cheese in order to facilitate face to face meetings, and a team building atmosphere. We ended up not able to host anyone other than those who lived in the house with us. I am told this is a City of Palm Springs by-law, and so technically this is not a critique of the property.
Overall, we would recommend this house as a great place to stay for vacationing couples or families, but not for the reasons we were there.
My great thanks to Todd and his assistant John for all of their assistance.
The house is an architectural gem well decorated with a mix of mid century furniture and new pieces.
The garden is very nice and fully fenced which was perfect for our dog. We will definitely come back and we have already planed to make reservations soon for May 2015 and January 2016.
What a wonderful break we had here kids and our parents for Thanksgiving. We arrived at the house and it looked exactly as described. Todd welcomed us and walked us through house and activities to do in town.
Sarah and Murray previously had been very accommodating with some of our unexpended date change.

About the Host, Sarah And Murray
I am a digital magazine editor and my husband is a food stylist. We have been travelling to Palm Springs for 8 years now because of our love of modern architecture, sun, great food, music, and hiking. We purchased and completely renovated this vacation home in 2013. We love visiting now with our two young daughters, exploring the great vintage shopping and amazing weather, and know you will too. One of us will get back to you right away!
