  • The hosts were very friendly and the apartment was exactly as described. We had a great time in Charleston thank to the convenience of the location and the use of the bikes provided(historic Charleston is a surprisingly bike friendly town.) there is a lot of construction going on on the heart of downtown and many hotels are within ear distance of the construction which starts early to avoid the worst of the heat, while the street this apartment is on is very peaceful and quiet.I would stay here again and recommend to everyone.

  • Bobbie was very nice and helpful (we never met Tom while we were there) and the apartment is lovely. The bottle of wine and bikes were a great touch! The location is really convenient, it's an easy walk to the main streets (King St, E Bay St, Market St, etc) and to the Battery.

  • Having used Airbnb a few times now, I can say that Bobbie and Tom's apartment is the nicest apartment I have stayed in. It feels very homely and has all the amenities you could ask for (including a welcome bottle of wine and some coffee). The apartment is within walking distance to the Visitors Centre, where you can catch trams to anywhere in Historic Downtown Charleston. Having looked at hotels, this apartment is extremely good value for money, especially since many of the cheaper hotels are no where near the Historic District. Bobbie and Tom's apartment is very clean, cool (which is important in SC) and I would recommend it to anyone.

  • What a wonderful time we had in Charleston! Bobbie & Tom's place was really great and even tho we never met them we felt like we did! They made communication easy and we really appreciated the welcome bottle of wine they left for us! Much needed after an all-day trip from the west. The bed was super comfy and the TV gigantic - also appreciated the good shower and wi-fi too! oh and super bonus having a parking spot right outside the door! And being on the ground floor there were no steps making it an easy schlep with the luggage! Thanks for all that and for providing such a charming well appointed little apartment in a great neighborhood in Charleston!! We will be back! PS we ended up dining at Poogans Porch and it was awesome!

  • The space was very comfortable with nice touches. Very clean and a comfortable bed. Loved having the bikes, we rode them every one of the 4 days we were there.

  • We attend Spoleto annually and this was a nice change from our usual high end hotels downtown. The space is pristine; the bed very comfortable, the hosts helpful, considerate of our privacy, and accommodating to our specific needs.
The location was fine for walking to most of the venues. The neighborhood was charming with a park less than a block away. From here my husband biked all around the historic district and I took my morning walks ambling through charming residential areas. Definitely high praise for Tom and Bobbie.
    Will recommend to friends.

  • This apartment is within walking distance to the visitors center where you can catch the free trolley to all the attractions. It is in a quiet neighborhood, nicely decorated and very clean. I would recommend a stay here. This was my first airbnb experience and I was pleased.

  • This cozy 1br/1bth rental space is located in a quintessential Charleston neighborhood only ~1 mile from shopping and dining on King St. The comfort and privacy of this quarters will quickly make you feel as if you have your own little studio apartment. Bobbie and Tom are gracious hosts that kindly left a bottle of wine for us and a couple of cold bottles of water. The two bicycles left for us to use ad lib were a nice touch and we took advantage of them to bike down along Battery Park. I would highly recommend this rental space because of its: location (close to downtown), comfort, privacy, and great hosts.

We are relative newcomers to Charleston, having moved here about seven years ago from Brooklyn NY. Bobbie spent much of her youth in and around Charleston and knew that it was the place she belonged. Once married and with kids, we vacationed here several times with the family before deciding to relocate here. We love the fact that, like New York, there is no shortage of great culture, great food, great entertainment here in Charleston, but all on a slightly lower key and at a slower pace. Tom enjoys a lot of the water-related fun that the area offers like kayaking or renting jet skis at Folly beach with our son, Bobbie always enjoys overseeing the above activities from the vantage point of an Adirondack chair while absorbing a lot of the all-important vitamin D. Though we've been here for a relatively short time, we're pretty knowledgeable about most of the great things that Charleston has to offer and we look forward to sharing what we've learned with you during your stay in this fine city.
