Stay in the best location Boulder has to offer. Sanitas trailhead is 6 blocks away. 1-1/2 blocks to the bus stop. 3 blocks to the closest bike rental station. The convenience of this location just can't be beat.
Please be aware this is a shared situation; room only. I, with my partner, will be in the home during your stay.
The house has loads of charm with wood floors throughout. It's a very peaceful and relaxing space with three bedrooms and bath upstairs and living room, parlor, kitchen, and bath on the main level. It is a renovated Victorian house built in 1896 by a Boulder Judge. The kitchen is fully updated with granite counters and stainless steel appliances and we welcome you to do some light cooking while you are here, although it may be hard to resist all of the awesome restaurant choices that are located so close by. Feel free to help yourself in the morning to coffee, tea, OJ, toast or cereal. There is a flat screen in the living room for TV or movies. Did we mention the wrap around front porch? Really fun to hang out on and watch people walking and biking by or grill something delicious on the gas grill.
Your bedroom includes a double real bed, desk for your computer, wi-fi, plenty of closet space, and foothill views to the north. It is freshly painted and clean. The whole house is very clean! Even though the house has three bathrooms, we will all share the main bathroom upstairs for showering. Otherwise, you will have the bathroom to yourself. Please know that your bedroom is not in another wing of the house, as there is no other wing, but instead the three bedrooms are located close to each other upstairs so if you are looking for a lot of privacy, this may not be the best situation for you. None of our other many guests have minded.
No issue, there is free street parking.
I am a long-term resident of Boulder and possess a wealth of knowledge about this town and am happy to share what I know. My boyfriend moved here from California some years ago and we both look forward to meeting and hosting new people in our home.
Sorry, no smoking or pets.
You can walk to probably everything you might need. If not, public transportation is very convenient. There is a bus stop 1-1/2 blocks away. There are bicycle rental kiosks throughout town. The closest one is 3 blocks away.
Make yourself at home. There is TV in the living room and the kitchen is available for putting together simple meals.
Interaction with Guests
My partner and I will be in the house during your stay. We welcome conversation when you are around.
No smoking, no partying... just keep it mellow. If you cook, we ask that you please clean up after yourself i.e. leave the kitchen the way you found it. Lock the two doors upon leaving and if you are the last one home in the evening, again, lock both doors. Please let us know if there is anything you need. Thanks and we look forward to hosting you in our Boulder home.
Great experience! The house was clean, comfortable and inviting. Linda was very accommodating and friendly.
Linda and Karl were fantastic hosts! They were incredibly welcoming, engaging, and had a wealth of information about the area to share. Their home is an easy 5-10 minute walk from Pearl Street. The space was cozy and the bed is very comfortable :) I would highly recommend them to anyone interested in visiting Boulder!
We really enjoyed our 1 night stay at Linda's home. The home is immaculately clean, the bed comfortable, and location very convenient to Pearl Street area. Linda and Carl are friendly, helpful with any local information, and we enjoyed chatting with them over morning coffee and tea, which they provided. We would be happy to return anytime!
Beautiful home, warm, welcoming hosts, and a fantastic location --quick walk to Pearl Street and on the edge of what looks like endless hiking trails. The next time I am in Boulder, Linda's home will be at the top of my list for places to stay.
I had a terrific experience staying with Linda and Carl. I wish I'd had more time to spend with them - and cruising through Boulder! I had an event to attend, so I wasn't around as much as I'd want. I also had to leave early.
Linda and Carl were extraordinarily flexible and responsive.
Lovely house near to pearl st mall and very kind and trusting host. Linda made sure we had all the info we needed and the house was spotless and comfortable with almost sole use of the bathroom
We would thoroughly recommend this host.
About the Host, Linda
I've lived in Boulder for 30 years and have accumulated a wealth of knowledge about this city that I'm happy to share. My boyfriend moved here from California three years ago and he loves it here. I obviously love it since I've been here so long. I'm a real estate broker and also do some freelance admin work around town. I'm just getting back into fine art painting so that is exciting. I like to play guitar, cook healthy food, and be out in the sunny weather. My boyfriend is a painter (of houses) and has spent countless hours updating and keeping our house looking good. He also plays guitar, writes music, and sings. He has two grown sons that are musicians and travel around the world. I have one son who lives here in Boulder. He is a server in a very nice restaurant in town and he also takes people on fly fishing tours, so if you're into that, I will put him in touch with you. You will have a great time here and we look forward to meeting you.
