Sonny, Jackie's colleague, made us feel very welcome. This cottage was the perfect size for my parents, husband and I for our weekend stay in San Luis Obispo. The bedroom got a bit cold in the evening but the extra blankets were helped. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. The house was about 10 minutes away from the downtown area and about 15 minutes from the 101.
Lovely place to stay, and super dog friendly. My small terrier mix felt right at home and thoroughly enjoyed sniffing around the fenced-in yard (complete with lime and lemon trees, with access to a community garden). Reliable wifi. Comfy bed. Quiet. Feels like home. Nice proximity to the downtown area and CalPoly. 15 minutes from a super nice dog beach (Avila Beach drive, past the bridge).
Another great stay at the Urban Cabin.
Sonnie/Jacki are wonderful hosts and this place is just the best.
Hopefully we'll see you again later this summer.
The cabin was delightful. We showed up later than anticipated and the host was very accommodating. I would recommend this spot for anyone looking to explore San Luis Obispo and the surround area – it's close to town, it get lots of light and it has the warm and inviting atmosphere we were looking for!
This place was great for my 2 night stay in SLO. The hosts were very friendly, attentive, and helpful with live music recommendations in town. I highly recommend this place for a visit to San Luis Obispo.
Sonnie (Who manages the property) was quite friendly. The description was accurate. As others have said there is no TV in the home. I see this is as a plus. Why? Well because SLO is beautiful and one should go out and explore! The neighborhood was quiet and it felt safe, even walking around at night.
The Urban Cabin is a charming place. We spent 3 days at the cabin and our stay was very comfortable. The description is spot on. The place is in a very quiet and in a relaxing neighborhood. The house was clean and well maintained.
It has a nice patio area where you can sit down and relax. There is a community vegetable garden on the adjacent lot and Jacki even lets her guests help themselves to some fresh produce!
We were greeted by Sonnie on arrival. She showed us around and was very helpful in answering our questions. The house was well stocked with all the basic amenities.
We were able to drive up to downtown SLO in less than 10 minutes and the beach was about a 15 minute drive. There is a Fresh & Easy store very close to the house. We found that very convenient. Also, the beautiful Meadow park is just a short walk away.
