Jacki's place was perfect! We went to SLO for the film festival, and it was just five minutes away from everything. It's also big enough (with great outdoor space) for some entertaining, as we had family in town stop by for some wine and cheese before going out to dinner. We got to use fresh lemons from the tree, and every time you enter front door you're greeted by the wonderful smell of flowers. I'm ready to move to SLO permanently!
This is a lovely small apartment, kept up well, in a quiet, relaxing neighborhood. Short drive or 30-minute walk to SLO's cute historic downtown. Just a few blocks from a big, green park. 15 minute drive to beautiful Avila Beach. All in all, a great place for a quiet, relaxing vacation.
Recently spent few days in SLO with family. I picked this place because its pet welcome and the good location to look around. Everything were clean and very nice. I'll rent this place again.
We stayed at Urban Cabin for the month of January. We chose Urban Cabin for its convenient location, close to good walks, restaurants, tennis courts, the YMCA, downtown, even vineyards. We like to leave the car parked as much as possible and use our bicycles and our legs to get around. This neighborhood was perfect. Urban cabin was neat and clean when we arrived. Jackie could not have been more accommodating and helpful. (She even referred me to an excellent dentist when I had a minor but urgent problem.) The small fenced yard was perfect for having our al fresco lunches and also for our dog to bask in the sun. Having access to the neighboring community garden gave us a little more room to move about. We were graciously invited to partake of the produce and had our salad greens ready to pick for the entire month! I would recommend Urban Cabin without hesitation.
Disappointed. After over 20 AirBnB stays worldwide we found this the least accurate description of a property. Example: short walk to downtown = 1.8 miles along a busy road. In fact the unit is deep in a residential neighborhood with a gas station an easy walk away. Accommodates 4 - there is only table seating for two. The fact there was no TV wasn't mentioned, which in the US is an assumed amenity. It's like saying there is a queen bed but upon arrival there are no pillows. The directions on the counter indicates there is a $25 pet fee but this does not appear in the listing.
The outside patio is very nice and the unit is pet friendly. The 1950's kitchen is well appointed and everything is clean. Sonnie, the "manager" was accommodating.
Descriptions are all travelers can use to make decisions and we feel this one is inaccurate. Would not have rented it and will not return.
The stay was amazing. It was 2 miles from the wedding venue and had plenty of space for me to do the flowers and get ready.
We had a fantastic stay in the urban cabin. The location was great and it had everything we needed for a two night stay on the way down to LA for the holidays.
The highlight for us was the community garden attached to the property. Our dog had a great time running around and we enjoyed some of the produce in a home cooked meal.
Thanks Sonnie for a great stay!
