The house is extremely beautiful and it has all the facilities you would need. Room was big, full of light and had a nice bathroom. All was very clean and tidy. What we really enjoyed the most though was the company of Paul. He is an amazing host and makes you feel very welcome. He had even made the folder about the house and surroundings and had the bikes if you wanted to use them. Thank you so much Paul for all of your hospitality and tips for our California trip. Hope to see you again!
Paul made us very welcome
The room was spacious and comfortable-the ensuite was very good
He supplied breakfast each morning with fresh fruit and we enjoyed having coffee on his lovely verandah
Paul is a lovely friendly guy and it was a pleasure to meet him.
I left my walking shoes and he posted them on to my next b nb address ! in the north island

A great place to stay in a convenient location and a super nice host! Thanks, Paul!
This place was a gem. Paul made us feel very welcome and we so enjoyed the quiet atmosphere while being still close to the centre of Nelson. I did like the sustainability aspects of this old villa, lots of thought gone into the renovation. Paul even took us to the airport at the end of our stay. We'll definitely be back and would highly recommend this as a great spot to stay.
Paul, as a geologist, was a wealth of knowledge concerning New Zealand in general. He also provided information about hiking into Abel Tasman National Park and sights to see on the way along the West Coast area.
The room at Skylight Villa was one of the best we've had through Airbnb. It had everything we needed (kettle, microwave, wireless) and our sleep was restful.
Paul was there to let us in and communication throughout our stay was clear. He left brochures in the room for the surrounding sites which was mind-focusing in terms of deciding what we ought to do!
He also kindly provided fruit and cereal for breakfast (much appreciated!) as well as good company & conversation. Don't know that we ever have or will again sit in a hot tub with such a great view of the night sky. :) Highly recommend Paul's Sky Villa for anyone heading to Nelson. Thanks again Paul!
PAUL Is very nice people. We get a lot of help from him. We stay in Nelson for 3 nights. The house location is very good. Quite convenience to the town center and supermarket. We can use the kitchen as well. when I broken my hand by myself for the bike tour, Paul help me to clean my wound. Finally , Paul send us to the airport since we have send back our car within the days in nelson. I have too many thanks to PAUL. Good luck and best wishes to you and your family in the year of sheep! I'm a 50 something ex-pat (USA) living here in New Zealand for the last 20 years. The geology here in NZ shares many similarities with California so I feel right at home with the rocks, dirt and earthquakes. Nelson has some of the best weather in the country (also an appeal) and great clouds.
As a "world citizen" I find travel (and travelers) that something special about sharing this planet. I speak some Spanish and a little French. Also Australian...
