We stayed with Paul for three days during our month long trip to NZ. He was a fantastic host, always ready with recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants in the area. His home is very well situated, being a stone's throw from the main street in Nelson with its shops and restaurants and it is also charming with a very warm feel. Our only regret is that we did not have much time to get to know him better.
Travellers could not do any better than to stay with Paul whilst in the area.
The skylight villa is a beautiful house in a very nice and quiet neighbourhood, yet very centrally located. The room is very charming, I felt at home right away!
Paul is a very easy-going, humorous and helpful person. He was so nice to pick me up from the bus, helped me with my travel plans, and chatting with him about travelling and life in general was a lot of fun! (-;
Can highly recommend his place, would love to come back!
Paul has a lovely house and we had a room on the ground floor. Plenty of space and nice and clean. Good location.
Paul was very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable with lots of attention to detail. The muesli and fruit breakfast was just right for me. The location was also ideal for walking into the town. I did not need a lift from the airport but it was very kind of Paul to offer one. thanks Paul
The house is extremely beautiful and it has all the facilities you would need. Room was big, full of light and had a nice bathroom. All was very clean and tidy. What we really enjoyed the most though was the company of Paul. He is an amazing host and makes you feel very welcome. He had even made the folder about the house and surroundings and had the bikes if you wanted to use them. Thank you so much Paul for all of your hospitality and tips for our California trip. Hope to see you again!
Paul made us very welcome
The room was spacious and comfortable-the ensuite was very good
He supplied breakfast each morning with fresh fruit and we enjoyed having coffee on his lovely verandah
Paul is a lovely friendly guy and it was a pleasure to meet him.
I left my walking shoes and he posted them on to my next b nb address ! in the north island

A great place to stay in a convenient location and a super nice host! Thanks, Paul!
I'm a 50 something ex-pat (USA) living here in New Zealand for the last 20 years. The geology here in NZ shares many similarities with California so I feel right at home with the rocks, dirt and earthquakes. Nelson has some of the best weather in the country (also an appeal) and great clouds.
As a "world citizen" I find travel (and travelers) that something special about sharing this planet. I speak some Spanish and a little French. Also Australian...
