PAUL Is very nice people. We get a lot of help from him. We stay in Nelson for 3 nights. The house location is very good. Quite convenience to the town center and supermarket. We can use the kitchen as well. when I broken my hand by myself for the bike tour, Paul help me to clean my wound. Finally , Paul send us to the airport since we have send back our car within the days in nelson. I have too many thanks to PAUL. Good luck and best wishes to you and your family in the year of sheep! Gong XI FA CAI!
Brilliant location and large great room. Paul is a charming and relaxed host who could not have made us more welcome. Would be my number one choice in Nelson.
Staying with Paul was like visiting with an old friend you haven't seen for some time; lots of good stories to catch up on. The house is lovely and the location right in central Nelson is perfect for experiencing the town as well as providing a good base for trips further afield. We hope we get a chance to visit again soon!
The skylight villa was great it was really close to town and clean. The personal space was comfortable and inviting. Paul was great at letting us do our own thing but gave great advice when asked!
We stayed with Paul before we went on another trekking tour. We had to organize a lot and Paul was so nice and helpful with everything.
His villa is very beautiful and the double ensuite we stayed in was clean and spacious and had everything we needed.
We would absolutly recommend staying in Pauls Skylight Villa and we are looking forward to come back!
Paul was so friendly and welcoming! His house is fantastic and the hot tub was the perfect way to end the day!
We stayed for one very hot night. It was great to be met at the bus station by Paul who also dropped us off there at the end.
The B & B room itself is lovely - very clean and well appointed. The ensuite is also great. The room was very hot which worried me until I noticed a portable fan which solved the problem.
The position of the B&B is great as there is a little path to South Street and it is only 5 minutes to the centre of Nelson.
The downsides are the breakfast which is a bit hit and miss and the kitchen is not very clean. Paul, however, is very helpful but you do need to ask. The outside is a bit overgrown now and not well looked after.
Paul is very interesting to talk to and goes out of his way to spend time with his guests.
Overall, good value for money.
I'm a 50 something ex-pat (USA) living here in New Zealand for the last 20 years. The geology here in NZ shares many similarities with California so I feel right at home with the rocks, dirt and earthquakes. Nelson has some of the best weather in the country (also an appeal) and great clouds.
As a "world citizen" I find travel (and travelers) that something special about sharing this planet. I speak some Spanish and a little French. Also Australian...
