quiet in the backyard with sunny balcony. sleeping room with double bed, living room connects with open kitchen, spiral staircase leads from living room under the roof with space for two additional people to sleep (seperate or together).
Balcony has space for 6 to sit and is sunny from late morning to evening. Sleeping room has sun in the morning (and curtains;-), living room and kitchen are sunny from morning til late afternoon.
We are a familiy living next door, very pleased to welcome guests - german author and theater director and greek air hostess with our 4 years old daughter. The apartment we offer connects to our own place through a double wing door which guests of course can keep locked.
The building is from 1899 and has been freshly renovated by 2008. The house is inhabited 'western international' - spanish, scottish, denish, israeli, italian, french, dutch - ok and a few german people live here, most of them successfully working in the creative sector. People are quiet here and respect each others privacy.
Ideal location for visitors of Berlinale (2 S-Bahn stops from Potsdamer Platz, the festival centre) or events at the Tempelhof Airport area (Bread & Butter, Berlin Festival etc.), or visitors of the Hebbel am Ufer / HAU theatre (15 min. by feet through the park or 1 metro stop)
We love the atmosphere of Kreuzbergstr. and Bergmannstr. area with all their cafés and little shops and some very good restaurants, the market hall at Marheinike square etc. Tempelhof area where events like Bread & Butter and Berlin festival take place is about 20 mins walking distance. Apart from the Tempelhof airfield park we are in direct neighbourhood with two other very different and amazing parks - Victoria park and Park am Gleisdreieck.
Where to find the best cake, the best shops, the coffee places with the best design, how to get to your favorite destinations and which are the best biergardens around - we'll be happy to tell you. It is the part of Kreuzberg which rather is dominated by a very international crowd of creative people. We also like very much Schoeneberg which has a complete different groove and charme, and is in a walking distance, with one of the most beautiful saturday markets and some great quarters to roam around.
I'll provide you with a first fresh breakfast, of course, and it will be all organic, like the brea I bake myself.
a crib is available once you ask us.
Smoking is welcome on the nice balcony that connects with the living room.
feel home. enjoy asking us whenever you need assistance or just want to chat. smokers are welcome to use the balcony or on the occasion of a cigarette with a drink just open the window afterwards; you're welcome to leave beds and towels as you've used them, Bins for waste separation are provided.
My friends and I were absolutely amazed by Pigi's apartment! Lots of space (two floors connected by a spiral staircase), nice kitchen, really nice bathroom, in a hip neighborhood. It's close to the metro and lots of fun stuff—what more can you ask for!
I highly recommend this place—and Pigi is a gracious host. I'm thrilled we stayed with Pigi :)
Pigi was very friendly and welcoming, the flat is exactly as described: clean, quiet, good facilities and in a great location. The building is a typical old-style Berlin house, beautiful big old doors, high ceilings, lots of light, and the balcony is a nice extra. The walk up the stairs to the fourth floor will also help you work off some calories! Would definitely stay there again. Thank you Pigi!
Pigi's appartment is a delight! Clean, clear, cozy, smart decorated, warm and full of nice surprises. The appartment is quite big and with all the apliances you need. The supermarket is just two blocks away and the metro station is very close as well. Pigi is an incredible host, very smiley and concerned about her guests. If I had another opportunity to return to Berlin, I'd certainly stay with her.
Gorgeous apartment in a nice quiet neighbourhood. Clean, brigh and spacious, as described. Pigi left us a lovely breakfast and all the information we could need for our stay. Really enjoyed our trip and would stay here again! Thanks.
When our daughter Zoi was born and my company Olympic Airlines was sold I packed my things and moved from Athens to Berlin where my husband Daniel has his homebase as an author and director for theater, radio and TV. I love to take b/w photos, to bake my own bread, and I love to live in this area of Berlin.
My name is greek and means fountain. If you want to pronounce it right, take "Yipee", cut it in the center and swap to Pee-Yee. Guess why our daughter has the name Zoi. It means "life" and "fountain" and "life" have the same name day in the greek calender...
Ich spreche auch ein bisschen deutsch, wir kommen schon klar... ich freue mich auf Sie.
