People are quiet here and respect each others privacy.
Ideal location for visitors of Berlinale (2 S-Bahn stops from Potsdamer Platz, the festival centre) or events at the Tempelhof Airport area (Bread & Butter, Berlin Festival etc.), or visitors of the Hebbel am Ufer / HAU theatre (15 min. by feet through the park or 1 metro stop)
We love the atmosphere of Kreuzbergstr. and Bergmannstr. area with all their cafés and little shops and some very good restaurants, the market hall at Marheinike square etc. Tempelhof area where events like Bread & Butter and Berlin festival take place is about 20 mins walking distance. Apart from the Tempelhof airfield park we are in direct neighbourhood with two other very different and amazing parks - Victoria park and Park am Gleisdreieck.
Where to find the best cake, the best shops, the coffee places with the best design, how to get to your favorite destinations and which are the best biergardens around - we'll be happy to tell you. It is the part of Kreuzberg which rather is dominated by a very international crowd of creative people. We also like very much Schoeneberg which has a complete different groove and charme, and is in a walking distance, with one of the most beautiful saturday markets and some great quarters to roam around.

About the Host, Pigi
When our daughter Zoi was born and my company Olympic Airlines was sold I packed my things and moved from Athens to Berlin where my husband Daniel has his homebase as an author and director for theater, radio and TV. I love to take b/w photos, to bake my own bread, and I love to live in this area of Berlin.
My name is greek and means fountain. If you want to pronounce it right, take "Yipee", cut it in the center and swap to Pee-Yee. Guess why our daughter has the name Zoi. It means "life" and "fountain" and "life" have the same name day in the greek calender...
Ich spreche auch ein bisschen deutsch, wir kommen schon klar... ich freue mich auf Sie.
