  • We loved the apartment, everything was new/modern and worked fine. Great location - close to many restaurants/shops.

    A bit short on linens and utensils, but we got by.

    My only issues were that the apartment we originally booked became unavailable and we were switched to another location one week before arrival. The new apartment was comparable and in a great location, so it worked out fine. We also had some trouble with the wifi which took a few days to fix. But overall, we enjoyed our stay and the accommodations.

  • Was very pleased with the apartment/flat and had a great experience overall. Having spent nearly 2 months there I appreciated the weekly cleaning service, the in apartment laundry and the quality of the apartment overall. The neighborhood surprised me, and I found myself appreciating it quite a bit (quick walk to borough market was great). However, I would strongly suggest getting in touch with House of Modern Living before arriving or you may end up wandering around London with luggage for quite some time (as I did) since you can not pickup keys at the apartment.

  • Our stay in this apartment was great, the location was really handy. The host had left a comprehensive list of where, what and how to get around. The apartment itself was modern, clean and had everything you would need to have a great stay. We did not meet the host but it's a easy process to pick up keys etc. would recommend to anyone interested in staying in this area of London.

  • It was a great apartment in the area I needed to be in for work! Having laundry in the unit was a plus, although we didn't have access to the amenities (fitness center, roof deck) as described in the listing. Also the checkin process was a bit confusing, but all in all it was a great apartment and I would recommend staying here!

  • WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Arvi is an utter charlatan and this is false advertising at its best. The apartment undoubtedly wasn't the one in the advertisement and was in a wholly unhygienic, unacceptable, insalubrious and unliveable state. It hadn’t even been cleaned – upon arrival we found the toilet, disgustingly, still had poo in it. Our stay/experience was so dire that we cut our holiday short and returned home early. I am livid with all the indignity that we had to endure and the host's sheer incompetence and treachery.

    A plethora of problems that we reported but were never fixed:
    1. The mattress in one bedroom was a small double and didn’t fit the queen size bed frame. The second bedroom had 4 sponge cushions on the floor pushed together to make a makeshift circular bed, instead of a proper bed. This was riddled with countless, obscenely disgusting stains and hair. Essentially, there was only space for 1 person to sleep comfortably and we had booked for 4 people.
    2. The fridge wasn’t working so we were unable to cook, a major reason for choosing an apartment over hotels.
    3. The food waste disposal in the kitchen sink wasn’t working and got clogged full of dirty water. It took several phone calls and emails to Arvi before they cleaned it and by then it was a festering mess. It released a lot of mold inducing coughing fits and breathlessness in all of us — which as asthma sufferers is a very painful and dangerous situation —and the stench was unbearable.
    4. No ceiling lights in the living room and the lamp wasn’t working.
    5. Air-con wasn’t working.
    6. No toiletries were supplied.
    7. The entire place smelt musty; the carpet was stained and dirty; the curtains, filthy beyond measure.
    8. The cupboards had unwashed sheets and dirty socks in them.

    After days of countless phone calls/emails, they moved us to a 1-bed apartment and then a much smaller 2 bed for the remaining 9 days. The new flat was GBP 61 cheaper/night; despite this and all our troubles, we were offered a measly GBP 300 refund! This flat was no better - air con wasn’t working (again!) and the heating was on with no way of turning it off. Several emails/calls later we were informed that nothing could be done about it and they failed to provide us with fans (we repeatedly asked for them). We had to stay in a stiflingly hot apartment that was just about big enough for 2 people – definitely not 4!

    The only good thing - Adina, at Airbnb. She has been phenomenal at helping us and sorted out a decent refund for us! Best costumer service I've ever received! After a while, I stopped communicating with the host and contacted Adina directly since they were very unresponsive (took the manager 6 days to respond to me) and unhelpful. I can't recommend Airbnb enough and/or slate Arvi enough. Book a different place, but through Airbnb!
