The Space

Welcome to the crossroads of four great neighborhoods, Noe Valley, Mission Dolores, Mission and Castro, all within walking distance for some of the best shops & restaurants in SF and yet a few blocks away so you are not constantly in the noise and mix of the commercial and park crowds. ! Excellent public transportation esp. on the J Church, which is 20 yards from your front door and takes you downtown in about 15 minutes. This apartment is for airbnb guests like you. No one lives here between guests. Its smoke free as is the entire property.
This cute studio apartment is perfect for a single person or a couple with its full size bed w/McCroskey mattress in the sleeping alcove. There is no extra mattress so two people need to use the one bed. The ceiling height is low so a tall person(over 6 ft) may feel a little claustrophobic. The kitchen is open to the living space & has stove, microwave, frig, coffee maker etc. There (email hidden) with two stools, a.round dining table and a living room with two comfortable upholstered chairs plus a TV but no cable, only local stations. We are located 100 feet from public transportation which takes you downtown or into the Noe Valley neighborhood on 24th street or to the Safeway on Market. You'll love how close you will be to all the great/fun restaurants on Valencia and 18th street and just two blocks to Dolores Park. We have lived in the neighborhood for 25 years and can provide you directions and recommendations. You'll enjoy the front south facing deck to relax in the sun. We also have a larger one bedroom with yard and view on this site listed in Airbnb as 276009. If you are coming with friends or a few family members this can be a good place for four adults to stay. If your stay is for a week or longer we can do your laundry. There is a garage three blocks south if you need to park your car. $24 per day. One of our cats sometimes hangs on the front deck, a cute little gray cat named Tilly. No pets are in your apartment. There is a separate side entry + security gate to your apartment. Debbie and I are real estate agents at Zephyr here in SF and can answer any questions you may have about the local market if you or any friend or family member is interested in SF real estate.

  • Steve was great to rent from. He was prompt and answered all of my questions. He met me with the key when I arrived and gave me a brief tour.

The space was clean and easy to use. There was good closet space and a nice bed lamp. It was nice to sit in the chair reading, and looking out the window. All in all, the space was very thoughtful and I had everything I needed.

It's close to the J muni as well as BART, and while there are some really nice restaurants close by, it was also a quiet place to relax.

  • Steve and Debbie made it incredibly easy to have a wonderful time in the Mission District because the place was exactly as described and they were very flexible when it came to checking in and checking out. The apartment was clean and there were kitchen utensils as well as coffee! (This meant utilizing the coffee maker didn't also mean I had to buy more coffee than we could've possibly consumed. )

Also, I really appreciated the list of local markets, bakeries, restaurants and the directions to all of these places. (I suggest you take a look at the list of bakeries and make your way to the starred one. I did not regret it.)

I would definitely recommend this apartment and anything else they listed to others.

  • The flat had plenty of room for the two of us to spread out, and the kitchen with breakfast bar was handy. The location is awesome, and getting the keys while the hosts weren't home was as easy as possible. Steve checked in with us via Airbnb, so as to give us our space, which was appreciated. We knew they were there if we needed them, but we didn't.

  • Great Apartment, great location and great hosts! we were at SF for 5 nights, and the apartment was perfect for our needs. Also Steve helped us a lot during our stay.

  • We had an absolutely fantastic time at Steve and Debbie's place. It was the perfect size for us (2 adults & a 6 month old baby) as we needed somewhere a bit bigger than a hotel room to store our pram etc and it was lovely having a kitchen and a fridge.

The location is amazing, the street is lovely and felt really safe and is of equal distance from the bustling Mission district with it's great Mexican food and the beautiful neighbourhood of Noe Valley with it's Whole Foods and farmer's market. You can also catch the J Train from right outside which is pretty handy. It's only a couple of blocks away from our favourite park too, Dolores Park. (Although it's not for the faint-hearted as the house is right at the top of a hill - but this is San Francisco!)

Steve & Debbie were absolutely wonderful hosts - really kind and friendly and we ended up having several chats about the area as we passed on the steps outside. It was really reassuring to know that they were only upstairs if we needed them as this was our first time using Airbnb & our first time travelling with a baby.

  • The studio was fantastic, just as advertised. You can't ask for a better location; only a 5 minute walk to the Mission, and steps away from the muni J (but far enough that you never hear it). You're also right near Dolores Park, and close to Market Street.

The unit was very comfortable with a small table for dining and a very comfortable living room. There's a fridge and freezer, a bathroom with all of the supplies you might need, and a fully stocked kitchen. I found myself needing a pair of scissors – the kitchen had two pairs!

Steve and Debbie were very accommodating of my arrival time, and the key hand-off could not have been easier. I would highly recommend this studio to anyone looking to be in the Mission, but slightly removed from the noise and traffic.

  • This was my second stay at Steven and Debbie's beautiful home. I have now stayed in both of the apartments they offer, and they are both fantastic and perfectly located for enjoying all that SF has to offer. Steve and Debbie are also incredible hosts. They even loaned us umbrellas when they saw the forecast called for rain and had lots of great tips for things to do and great places to eat. Highly recommend!

  • Great experience; Steve was home to meet me upon my arrival and they checked in mid-trip to see if I needed anything. The apartment is on a quiet street with a MUNI J stop on the corner, making it easy to get around. Thanks!

  • We have again enjoyed Steve and Debbie's hospitality. We stayed here last year and this year returned to celebrate our daughter's wedding. Steve and Debbie's two adjoining units at 21st street were perfect for our two families to be together but still have our private space when needed. Both apartments are well appointed and very conveniently located in a quiet street, close to transport and restaurants. Thank you Steve and Debbie.
