About this listing
This flat is located on K(H)umbaraci Street which is just behind the Russian Consulate building.
Sleeps 9 comfortably.
Flexible Check In Times (even very early in the morning or even very late at night)
This is a great location in a fabulous city, if you want to stay somewhere where you don't feel like one of the zombie horde tour groups in Sultanhamet. The apartment is far enough from the thronging hordes of Istiklal street, but close to transport. Istanbul is a city of vast contrasts and paradoxes, but you’ll never feel unsafe or unwelcome in this neighborhood.
Ideal location for big groups and families who want an authentic experience and better/comfortable stay than a hotel! Beyoglu is absolutely the best area to stay in and where this apartment is specifically is one of the bests in Beyoglu. It's near the Tunel side of Istiklal Caddesi which is where the best restaurants, boutique shopping and bar scene is.
Spend Your Day Wandering the City
Spend the Evenings in the Neighborhood - Only Having to Walk Home at the End of the Night.
Everything is clean and free of clutter.
10 minutes to the old city by light rail
10 minutes on foot to the Istanbul Modern Art Museum
1 minute to Istiklal Street (the most major strolling and shopping street)
Less than a minute to Lebi Derya Restaurant which is Istanbul's best restaurant with a stunning Bosphorus view
Various Dining out and night out alternatives are within a walking distance.
You will definitely come back to Istanbul to discover more and wanna stay in the same apartment :)
The apartment is very sunny, has partial sea-view from the balcony, and surrounded with delightful pieces of architecture. The flat is on the 3rd floor. There are 4 nicely decorated bed-rooms, and the flat can even house 2 families at the same time.
There's a great cafe across the street (french), a wonderful vintage shop.
A full equipped kitchen is also available. Fast ADSL connection, free wifi are also present.
Other Basic Amenities include quality house linens and towels, washing machine, iron and ironing board, fridge/freezer, and spring (website hidden): The Humbaraci were in charge of manufacturing, transporting, and firing the mortars, mines, granades, and bombs that were propelled against enemy forts whether by land or sea.
House rules are pretty much simple and rational I would say. You should really feel like home but also respect the place you are accomodated in. Please respect WC hygiene rules.
We (a family of four) had a great stay at Fatih's apartment in the middle of roaring Galata. The house is on the 3rd floor of a characteristic, round building which made that the first few days we lost our ways within de house several times :-)
We felt at home immediately. The rooms are nice and comfortable, everything worked properly and the view from the balcony in the master's bedroom is magnificent. Only the old and disabled may have difficulties climbing the three flight of stairs.
Our host Fatih, who speaks excellent English, was very helpful in answering our questions about how to find some spots in and around Istanbul, also during our stay: we could reach him easily by email (wifi worked impeccably). It was our very first airbnb-stay (normally we stay in hotels) and we didn't know what to expect regarding privacy - but on that point also, there was nothing tot complain at all. Our next visit in Istanbul we will definitely stay again at Fatih's apartment (if it is available, of course..)
Appartement tres bien situe.Quartier tres anime donc bruyant ...
We came for New Years Eve 2011 to Istanbul and stayed a week in Fatih´s brand new apartment. The apartment was very beautiful and had an amazing view over the bosphorus as well as the golden horn, was spacious and had really comfortable beds. As we were the first guests at the apartement (what Fatih told us before) not everything was perfectly ready yet. But whenever we had a problem or a complaint Fatih tried his best to fix it quickly. So we were all in all süper-happy.
Fatih was an amazing host. Very accommodating and super nice. His apartment was lovely and really central to everything you could possibly want/need.
Definitely stay with him if you are Istanbul
We had a wonderful time. Fatih was kind and very helpful. The apartment was in a very nice area and fit 6 of us easily. Thank you for being a fatastic host.
Fatih was an excellent host. He answered a lot of questions we had on getting around and the area nearby and helped us locate soccer match tickets as well. He even rushed over early in the morning because I forgot my passport inside the apartment so that I could make my flight.
The flat is in a great location, with public transportation only a few blocks away (either to tophane tram station on one end or to istiklal on the other end) and lots of restaurants nearby.
Overall, couldn't ask for anything more.
We still wonder if we could have found a better apartment and a gentler host ... everything was simply perfect, smooth and funny!
the apartment was exceeding our expectations – sitting on the balcony in the evening breeze looking at the sea were the most charming moments.
Fatih made us feel at home and took care of all our needs.
With his great humor we spend a great time together!
