It's a great neighbourhood. You can walk to the Castro, 24th Street, the Mission. You can easily walk to public transportation. The 24 bus goes up Castro. The KLM and F muni lines go to Castro and Market. There is the J from 20th and Church. Dolores Park is just down the hill.

Me and my girlfriend stayed at Claire's Studio for 3 months and things were perfect!
Claire and Gary are awesome hosters and they did everything to make sure we felt at home. I'm already missing Lucy (the cat)!
The studio is exactly as described and the photos are very current. The bed is very cozy, the shower is good and the couch is very comfortable to sit and relax. Perfect for couples! The studio also have a small table for meals/work/study. The space for the "kitchen" has everything you need for your stay. There is also a beautiful garden and the house is very beautiful and clean.
The neighborhood is simply amazing. Great houses, very quiet, very friendly neighbors. 7 minutes walk to the J muni stop and 13 minutes to Castro Muni Station or the Streetcar Stop. On 24th (5-6 minutes walk) there are some neighborhood coffee shops, some small stores and Whole Foods. On Castro St., there are some nice restaurants, coffee places, Walgreens, lots of bars... The distance to downtown is about 20-25 minutes by Muni.
The Twin Peaks is about 40 minutes walking (uphill) from the house and have an awesome view of the City.
Thank you Claire and Gary!
A gem of a studio in a beautiful block at the very top of Noe Valley/Castro/Dolores. Claire and Gary are incredibly friendly, kind, and have made my stay comfortable and easy. I highly recommend this place and these great hosts!
Claire warmly welcomed me at the front gate and I knew this would be a great spot. Claire made it clear that I was to treat the place 'as my own' and come ask for assistance if need be. Muffins and granola for breakfast first day were ready to go.
The studio has plenty of light from the front doors and was perfect for my busy week in San Francisco: work desk, simple kitchen facilities and clean bathroom. Tucked up behind Noe, I couldn't hear any street noise: a pleasant respite from previous stays nearby. I loved walking to the Muni each day and the access to shopping, restaurants, cafes, bars (and ice-cream at Bi-Rite!) along 20th and Valencia.
Thanks for your hospitality.
Thanks for your input. It's really helpful to to get honest feedback. Everyone else has said the bed in comfortable, but unless I sleep in it myself, which we have been meaning to do, we don't really know. So, probably time for a new mattress. Glad you enjoyed your stay otherwise. All the best Claire
Claire was a wonderful host and made us feel right at home. She was very accommodating and helpful with anything with needed. The studio was very comfortable and well equipped - perfect for our little family as we were travelling with our toddler. The private access was great as we were in and out frequently. The neighbourhood is lovely and we were always able to find parking easily. I would definitely stay with Claire again on our next trip to San Francisco.
Claire welcomed me and had it all setup. The studio is in a great place in town, close to Dolores Park which is great with the sunny weather I had.
The studio was clean and had plenty enough room for just me.
Wow! What a great place. My only regret was not staying here another month. Claire and Gary were very kind and were fun to chat with. The studio was a great size and it was walking distance to loads of fun things in the Mission. Highly recommend.
I stayed in Clair's studio for a month. It was fabulous! The location is so nice and there's tons of great bars and restaurants all around. There's lots of street parking near the house. If you don't have a car the hill to walk to the studio is pretty steep but it's great exercise. The studio itself was very clean and comfy with lots of storage. I would def recommend staying there.
