  • Our family enjoyed our stay at Mary's place. We were very impressed with every aspect of the apartment. It was clean and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the wonderful patio as much as we could. The location is perfect: we found it easy to walk to a pretty nice boogie-boarding beach and a very good surf shop where we took lessons. Mary was available to answer a few questions, which I appreciated. We will certainly stay there again if we are on the Big Island.

  • We stayed 4 nights at Marys place. She was very helpful getting us checked in and was extremely nice and accomodating. We felt like we were staying in a museum! The furniture, art work and sculptures provided a luxurious polynesian atmosphere that we thoroughly enjoyed. Breakfast on her lanai among tropical plants and trees was a great start to the day.
Magic Sands beach was a short walk and the drive into town for restaurants was quick. This was a great find and an absolute steal at this price.

  • This is a very nice 2 bedroom apartment with excellent walking location to the nice White Sands Beach and quick drive to the main drag of Kaluia, full of restaurants and bars etc. The patio out the back is very pleasant to sit on and the rest of the apartment is well appointed with everything you need in the kitchen, living room etc. I would certainly stay here again.

  • Our party of three had a very pleasant stay at Mary's condo. The rooms are spatious and really clean. Quite well appointed kitchen. We mostly enjoyed the privacy of the lanai. While the condo is within walking distance from White Sand Beach and a couple of snorkeling-surf training spots, we chose to drive to Hapuna and Mauna Kea beach about 1 hr north for the real deal. The condo is also a close ride to downtown Kona with pleanty of shoreline restaurants where you can watch the sunset. All in all Mary's place was a very good deal and we gladly recommend it.

  • This rental was beautifully decorated, with gorgeous details in every room. The amenities were adequate for a family, with a well equipped kitchenette (no stove), shower only, and laundry on the premises (about $6.00 per load, owner available to provide change). The back garden was really pretty, and this was really one of the best features of the rental.

In our experience, the best aspect of the apartment was location. It is located on a quiet, suburban street, but a short walk to magic sands beach (which was awesome!), and only a few minutes drive to downtown Kona, or shopping areas. There are tons of interesting tours in the area, and lots to do and see with the kids. We really enjoyed being able to walk over to the beach without taking the car and valuables- it made our afternoons very relaxed. We even saw a pod of whales from the nearest grocery store parking lot!

It was a beautiful area worth a visit.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Mary's apartment. It was clean and spacious, and conveniently located close to town, walking distance to the Magic Sands Beach, and only a mile from the Kahaluu Beach Park where you can rent surf boards, SUPs, etc. Although we weren't able to meet Mary this time due to her injury, we were well taken care of. Thanks for making our stay enjoyable and looking forward to coming back again soon!

  • Fantastic apartment, great location - very private, clean and comfortable. We had a really nice time there.

  • This is a very nice apartment in a great location in Kona. Mary and Will were very pleasant and accommodating. We had all the amenities we needed in the unit, including hair dryer, utensils, dish towels, and wifi. The only negative issue we had was roaches in the kitchen area. I asked for some roach baits, which were promptly supplied, along with a spray to use. I guess it must have been the season as I encountered a bunch at the bay where we did the manta ray night dive. All in all though, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay.
