Our completely renovated house with movie theater loft and gourmet kitchen is positioned right where South Riverdale meets Leslieville, just ten minutes east of the down town core. Free parking is also available just down the street, a very rare find downtown!
The soaring 16" Vaulted ceilings above the living and dining room with built in movie screen that can be watched from the loft seating make this home truly unique in Toronto.
You will have your own private bedroom with Queen Bed (freshly laundered sheets and down duvet provided), shared access to our Gourmet Kitchen, Back Yard Barbecue, Movie Theater (Cable, Apple TV, Netflix), and exclusive access to the Washroom with extra large Bathtub/Shower (we have our own en-suite). We have a commercial, tankless water heater, which means there is unlimited hot water!... I read on another listing that people get concerned about this stuff.
We are pretty flexible; always excited to meet and hang out with new people, and also usually out of the house a lot of the time. We'll probably be here in the evening. We also have a small Havaneese dog (Pablo) who doesn't shed and is hypoallergenic... He's likes company as much as we do.
Check in is typically 3pm or later, and checkout is typically Noon. We really only need to stick with this if there is another booking immediately before or after your stay. I'll let you know!
Our Neigbourhood is a short walk to Trendy Queen Street in Leslieville; this stretch was reviewed in the New York Times as being "The Brunch Capital of North America". You will also be close to East China town on Gerrard with amazingly inexpensive dining options (I get my hair cut there for $8).
We are 3km east of the Toronto Eaton Centre. It's a 10mn streetcar ride into the downtown core and financial district or 10 minute streetcar ride east to the Beach. It's also about 5 minutes to get to the Danforth subway line, and another 5 minutes to Yonge & Boor, Yorkville area for the Museum, High End Shopping, and Celebrity spotting. Travel times by streetcar are actually often slightly slower than by bicycle, which we provide (2) along with locks during the warm seasons, a $30 per bike per day value!
In case you missed it: There is FREE PARKING!! (a rare find in Toronto). It's just a few doors down, on Dundas St.
Please Note: We only accept one night bookings within a week of the date. Otherwise, we keep the calender open for multi-night guests as single night bookings, especially on the weekend, often cause vacancy on the adjacent night. Thanks!
We had a wonderful time in Toronto thanks to both of you! Enjoyed the time we spent at your beautiful, homey, excellently equipped, beautifully decorated and very clean place!! It's a very nice area to stay in, quite but central and lot of great restaurants and cafés are in walking distance. Would always come back! We hope that you enjoy your travelling, too!!
Hope to see you again (maybe in Germany ;))!

My wife Luana and I stayed with Eric and Elizabeth recently during the severe cold snap in Toronto. We arrived a little late but found Eric and Liz to be most welcoming. They had hot tea available for us and we were most grateful for that.
Eric and Liz have recently completed a beautiful renovation of their home and have achieved a fantastic and spacious modern open concept design that is welcoming and comfortable. I particularly enjoyed using the home theatre projection TV to watch a late night movie.
The room was very comfortable and clean. The whole house is spotless and Luana and I were very happy to have stayed here.
As with so many homes in downtown Toronto, overnight parking for guests is not great. However I was able to find a spot a couple of blocks away. The great thing about Eric and Liz's place is they have a fire hydrant directly in front of their house which means loading and unloading baggage is very easy as no-one else can park in front of the house. This was a bonus considering the icy road and freezing cold the night we stayed there.
Oh yes - Eric and Liz provide great chocolates too! We'd definitely stay again.
We already had a good impression of Eric and his lovely wife Elizabeth from their profile and communications and certainly our impression was confirmed when we met them in person.
They have done an outstanding job renovating an old house and turning it into a beautiful, functional and modern space. The guest room, although on the small side, is quite comfortable and being sole users of the spotless adjoining bathroom is a plus.
We really enjoyed our stay in that neighbourhood, tried several cafés suggested by Eric and Elizabeth and would have walked a lot more in the area had it not been for the wintertime conditions.
Thank you for the hospitality and hope to see you again!
Eric & Elizabeth have a beautiful home and are great hosts.
They were very accommodating to my needs and were helpful with any questions I had.
For my first airbnb experience this was great and when I'm back in the city I won't hesitate to rebook with them.
My stay at Eric and Elizabeth's place was very enjoyable. They make you feel at home instantly. The house is super confortable and clean. It is nicely decorated and spacious. Pablo the dog is cute and friendly. I definitely recommend staying with them. Downtown is 15-20' away with the streetcar. Ideal location if you're visiting friends in the Danforth/Greektown area.
I loved being back in TO after living in this gem of a city -- now sadly being tormented by a quack mayor no one voted for in downtown. Eric & Elizabeth's home was spotless and very comfortable, esp the radiant heat washroom floor! The decor is trendy, casual and reclaimed from Goodwill or Kijiji. Nice contrast to the shared kitchen of sparkling stainless appliances.
I found Pablo, le chien de Havana, cute, with his snack bowl outside my room. Beware of Pablo taking interest in your treats while you are wandering eclectic Leslieville. All good except ice chuncks on roads and parking on Dundas. Thanks E and E.
What a great spot with a great couple! Eric and his wife were incredible hosts. They really helped us get around and recommended some outstanding places to eat which we thoroughly enjoyed. The bed was so comfy (and I was 30 weeks pregnant) and the tv loft was super homey. Above all, they were just genuinely nice friendly people who were so easy to talk to. Would have loved to hangout more while we were there for a conference. Their spot is in a great location to get anywhere in Toronto pretty easily. We came at the coldest time of year so we really couldn't enjoy a walk or anything, but would love to come back when things warm up. Hands down, great hosts!
An amazing first trip to Toronto was all due to the hospitality of Eric and Elizabeth! From the excellent communication, to the exceptional home and location, this was a better trip than I had anticipated. Eric and Elizabeth treat you as family from moment one, and give you any and all items that you would need to have a great stay! I truly cannot say how great of hosts/people they are, and how great of a New Years we had in Toronto! I look forward to going back, and if i had the opportunity would love to stay here again! I highly recommend you stay with Eric and Elizabeth when in Toronto!!!
