Welcome to Capitol Hill!
This super rad 1 bedroom apt is right in the middle of Seattle's hippest neighborhood with fantastic nightlife, culture, hipsters, art, coffee, food & the country's best music scene.
DECEMBER 2013 UPDATE: I've just installed brand new hard wood floors in the kitchen & living room. Check out the new photos.
Hi! Come stay in my awesome, centrally-located, Cap Hill apartment!
The 700 square foot, quiet apartment with lots of windows is on the second floor of a small 10-unit building with a gated entry & private entrance. It boasts a full bath & full kitchen (coffee & tea provided) with a dishwasher. There is a giant, comfy KING SIZED BED, an arm chair, couch, a kitchen table, lots of light & even a porch area to sit outside. I'm on the west side of Cap Hill, which is slightly more residential & quiet, so light sleepers will be happy here.
I'm within walking distance to EVERYTHING. Really!

Getting here from SEA-TAC airport...
It's roughly a 20 minute drive, a $45 taxi ride or a $2.50 ride on the Link Light Rail Train, which leaves right from the terminal. If you take the train, take it to the last stop: Westlake Center, which is 5th & Pike St. in downtown Seattle. From there, you can:
- walk 10/15 minutes up the hill to the apartment or
- grab a taxi the rest of the 1 mile journey or
- take a bus from 4th & Pike ($2.50/person). There are lots of options all dropping off 2 blocks away:
#43 bus to Olive & Summit,
#10 or #11 or #49 to Pine & Summit,
#47 bus to Summit & Olive.
I'm happy to help with any questions.
On-street parking is available nearby (although it can be difficult to find), as well as a paid lot right behind the apartment on Harvard between Denny & Howell. However, you definitely don't need a car in this neighborhood. Unless you need one for something specific, I actually don't recommend the hassle of a car. When on Cap Hill, do as the Cap Hill-ers do - and enjoy the neighborhood on foot. :)
I have a 6-inch foam double mattress that can be set up in the living room to comfortably accommodate a 3rd guest. Just let me know in advance so I can have it set up for you.
I'm an experienced host on Airbnb. I love meeting new people & helping them to experience the city I love from a local's perspective. I pride myself on being communicative, quick to respond & ready with suggestions & local tips. Please check out my positive reviews. I hosted in a previous apartment closeby last year, so I have more reviews you can see under the "Other Property Reviews" tab. That apartment was only 2 blocks away from the current one so reviews about the location are almost identical.
I hope to meet you soon & assist in your enjoyment of Capitol Hill.
Guests will have access to the entire apartment: kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom. While I often host guests at the apartment, it is also my home. So my clothes and personal effects are in the dressers, drawers and closets. I ask that you please respect this. Thanks in advance!
I generally stay out of the guest's way during the stay. However, I'm always available if anything comes up. And I've definitely been known to hang out & have some fun with guests if they'd like!

Danielle was the perfect hostess. I felt very welcome and at home in her space. She made it very easy to navigate the particulars of her apartment, and gave some great pointers about the city. She was conscientious and checked in to make sure everything was okay. I really appreciate Danielle and her hospitality. She and her city are awesome.
Next time I'm in Seattle, I'll check here first.
Thank you for a great experience!
I rented this apartment because it is walking distance to a weekend training I had on Pike Street. My husband and 8 month old daughter tagged along. It was cozy and perfect for us. The pack 'n play fit perfectly next to the bed. The floor plan is open from the kitchen to the living room so our daughter had plenty of room to crawl around safely and we could watch her while preparing meals. The location is great, walking distance to coffee shops and eateries. Danielle was extremely communicative and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.
Comfy apartment in Capitol Hill. Eclectic and visually entertaining. While parking is challenging there is a pay lot immediately behind the complex. Attractions and wonderful dining are within walking distance.
The apartment of awesome was beyond amazing and so was Danielle! She was super helpful from the moment I sent an inquiry to the moment I left the apartment. There were adorable post-its all over the apartment to help with any questions on how to work/use certain things and even a huge basket with tons of magazines and brochures with info for both touristy things and stuff locals like! The whole apartment was so clean and cozy and really was a great home base to crash after long days of exploring the city. It's in such an awesome location, you really can walk to anything you'd like. (Which you might want to do if you're into eating all the delicious local food like I did.) There's really awesome places to eat all around the apartment but I would 100% recommend Glo's. We went there every morning because it was just so good and we couldn't imagine eating anything else. I even met up with Danielle for some sushi on my last day there and she was just as cool and helpful in person as she was in our emails and texts. When I visit Seattle next, I'll definitely be staying at the apartment of awesome again.
Danielle has a cute and cozy apartment in a great location of Capitol Hill. We stayed there for just one night and everything was perfect... we did not want to leave. Danielle was very informative and a great host. I loved all the post-it notes with little tidbits of info on them. There was also a CD and DVD player that we def put to use after a long day out and about. It truly felt like home. Her place is minutes away from just about everything. We would definitely come back to her apartment the next time we visit Seattle!
danielle's apartment was the perfect space for me!!! the location can not be beat, the bed was just as comfortable as my own, and the apartment was wonderfully spacious. danielle was kind and respectful. i am very grateful to danielle for opening up her apartment to me, i'm positive that my trip would not have been as awesome as it was if i had not stayed at the capitol hill apartment of awesome.
Danielle's apartment is great! It's warm, comfortable, quiet, and it's totally filled with cool artwork. I found it convenient to get to and from the University of Washington, and food and coffee are all within close walking distance. I'm staying there again!
I didn't get to meet Danielle in person, but her communication was stellar. She responded quickly and clearly with check-in and checkout info, and her House Manual contains everything you need to know about this apartment. Which is super cute and conveniently located! Capitol Hill has plenty to offer. We enjoyed a nice brunch at Americana on Broadway, a more low-key diner breakfast at Glo's (very close but get there early on the weekend), and a stroll through pretty Cal Anderson park. Though it may be a bit far for some, we even walked from the listing to Seattle Center. The apartment has a comfortable bed, cozy lighting, a hot shower, and baseboard heating. Recommended!
A peaceful place to stay while visiting Seattle--clean and close proximity to Capitol Hill and the Downtown area. Danielle made sure to label things clearly that were accessible to guests to in the apartment (such as an HDMI chord for movie watching and an audio input for music--such an awesome surprise). I'd love to stay at Danielle's place again!
Danielle was an excellent host, with great communication and an easy procedure for check in/out. The Apartment of Awesome is indeed very awesome, comfortable, and is very well located.
