About this listing
Centrally located, quiet and cozy home away from home invites you to relax and get comfortable as soon as you enter. This solar powered home is close to bus lines, parks, shops, downtown Seattle and the Eastside.
Charming 100 year old craftsman home offers hospitality and comfort for your visit to Seattle. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood close to Lake Washington and only a 15 minute bus ride into downtown, it is very convenient to much of what the Seattle area has to offer.
Artistic and inviting, the main floor of the house has a large open plan living/dining room area, well equipped kitchen, full bath, and two comfy bedrooms. On street parking is free and readily available.
The main floor is all yours with your host, Sara, living downstairs in a separate apartment. The home is solar powered, Netflix and WiFi, full bath, kitchen and two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have comfortable beds, one full, one queen, plus each has a reading chair, desk and closet space. The well equipped kitchen is stocked with breakfast fixings (organic when possible), plus you can make use of cooking basics such as olive oil, herbs and spices, sugar and flour, etc. The stove is gas, there is a microwave and dishwasher plus other handy kitchen gadgets if you're planning to cook (juicer, blender).
Interaction with guests
While I enjoy getting to know travelers and sharing any insights I might have on the area, I respect guests privacy and am careful not to interfere. I live in a separate unit downstairs.

I am an artist and have been a crafts vendor at the colorful Pike Place Market for more than three decades. I love traveling and have family as far flung as the Norwegian arctic circle and West Africa. My travel experiences have been so enriching and everywhere I go I'm grateful for the kindness and generosity of hosts. I hope to share the same quality of experience with people who come to share in the beauty of the Northwest or explore the Seattle area.
Our home is cozy and comfortable. You will be welcome to use the space and make yourself at home here. While we enjoy getting to know our guests we also respect people's space and privacy and strive to be sensitive to your needs.
