Just remodeled for a more spacious 400 Square feet , with two gravity recliners and a comfy queen bed and private bathroom and light eating area. We are located on a full half acre. We live in the main house and the studio is in the front of our house, not on ocean side, a View of the ocean can be seen from the kitchen window , there’s a private courtyard that takes you to the ocean.
Please do not bring any cooking devices as this is not allowed, A 110 plug is there for EV chargers.
The space
If you're uncomfortable staying in a large hotel with many people, then the Bonsai Studio may be for you. The space is approximately 400sf. with a private bath and comfy queen bed, refrigerator, coffee pot, hot water pot and microwave. The studio is quiet and only shares one wall of the main house, which is a storage/mud room. Please note, there is no washer/dryer in the studio.
Guest access
The door will be open , and the key will be on the hook behind the door. We will leave lights on if you expect to be late. We respect your privacy. Interactions can be as much or as little as you prefer, but we always like to say hi. Please let us know if we can assist you at any time during your stay.

Cape Perpetua Scenic Area, South on Hwy 101, 8 minutes away: Includes 23 miles of trails with seashore and forest for hiking.
Thor’s Well is located near Spouting Horn at Cook’s Chasm in the Cape Perpetua Scenic Area. It can be viewed by taking the Captain Cook Trailhead from the Visitor Center where it is located on the rocky shelf just north of Cook’s Chasm.
Oregon Coast Aquarium, Newport: Named one of America's top 10 aquariums, a great family outing just 30 minutes North.
Sea Lion Caves, South on Highway 101, 20 minutes away. A fascinating natural wonder. Sea Lion Caves is a privately owned wildlife preserve and bird sanctuary (since 1932). Sea Lion Caves is part of the Oregon/Cape Perpetua Marine Reserve helping to protect the local marine animals and marine environment. Sea Lion Caves is America's largest sea cave and the year-round home of the Steller sea lion.
Eight miles North, the town of Walport offers boat and equipment rentals for crabbing excursions in Alsea Bay. During crabbing season (best time July through December) Dungeness Crab are typically plentiful. Soft shell clamming is also popular in Alsea Bay.

Neighborhood highlights
While in Yachats, you might want to check out the Green Salmon for coffee, pastries, breakfast and lunch. Their tea and coffee menu is mind boggling. They serve quite a few vegetarian & vegan items that are delicious.
The Drift Inn Restaurant serves great food, breakfast, burgers, pizza, and homemade chicken pot pies.
The Adobe Restaurant & Lounge is only a couple minutes walk around the bluff from the house. They have a very nice menu serving seafood, steaks, pasta dishes, as well as a great Sunday Brunch. Be sure to check out the lounge and take your drinks upstairs for a beautiful ocean view.
Yachats Brewing is a great place to enjoy a beer. They have their own brews, cider and kombucha. They serve lunch and dinner, and brunch on Sundays.
