Saint Peter cosy low cost flat

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Via Giovanni Bettolo, Rome, Lazio 00195, Italy

The Space

The apartment is located 5 minutes walking distance from the main entrance of the Vatican Museums in a residential and quiet area of Rome called Prati.
It is very well positioned and connected to the historical centre by public transport.
Buses 913 and 70 , and the underground, line A (Ottaviano station ) just 5 minutes walking from the flat will take you easily and quickly to the most beautiful historical sites of Rome, such as Spanish steps, Piazza del Popolo, "Piazza Navona" or you can choose to go just for a leisurely walk to the Vatican City.
The area is not very touristic but very Roman and lively , with nice restaurants pizzerias and bars with prices that are more reasonable than the city centre.
It is close to a very convenient shopping area called Via Cola di Rienzo, which ends on the Tiber River, crossing the bridge you find yourself in the heart of the centre of Rome, Piazza del Popolo .
The flat is also very close to a famous good quality and inexpensive Roman rional food market Trionfale where you can find a wide selection of fruits and vegetables but also a good quality fish stall and cheeses, you will find all products and delicatessens: zucchini flowers, figs, tomatoes, ham, porcini it is open every day from 7.00 am to 2.00 pm. (closed on Sunday )
The flat is spacious and has been recently repainted and decorated with light colours, it is located on the second floor with lift, of an elegant period building of the 30s. The rooms have very high ceilings, large windows and features antique marble floors a la "veneziana".
It has a spacious and completely equipped kitchen, with travertine top, gas hobs and oven , fridge, washing machine, and a table seating 4 people. NEW : Nespresso coffe machine for a delicious Italian espresso at home ! A bathroom with shower, and hair-dryer and , a bedroom with a comfortable double bed and a spacious cupboard. The flat also offers unlimited wi-fi , a flat screen TV, independent heating/air conditioning.
It is perfect for 2 people, but it can also accommodate a third person/child thanks to a comfortable harm chair that becomes a single bed quite large.(100x190 cm) Bed linen and towels are also provided.
Given flight restrictions, I always try to leave in the flat toothpaste, shower gel/shampoo etc and also when I can fresh drinks and fruits.
In my opinion , the flat is suitable for the flexible traveler who is looking for a reasonably priced accommodation and interested to live (email hidden)ly roman residential area, well connected with public transport and close to the Vatican.
If you are interested in knowing the origin of the name Prati, this is because at the beginning of XX century, this area was covered by the meadows of Castel Sant'Angelo, fortified residence of the Popes. • Esperienza positivissima.

  • My husband and I had a fanastic stay at Sabina's apartment. The apartment was clean and tidy and conveniently located, close to a metro station.
This was our first AirBnB experience, and Sabina and her cousin, Filippo, made us not only feel welcome to Rome but went above and beyond what we expected. My husband is a coeliac and upon messaging Sabina for gluten free food recommendations, she arranged for her sister in law to drop off gluten free food at the apartment for him to eat! We were amazed at Sabina's generosity and would not hesitate to recommend her apartment to anyone visiting Rome.
Grazie mille Sabina for an amazing first AirBnB experience!!
    Best regards,
    Vicki and Ben

  • Sabina's apartment is a lovely place to stay while you are visiting Rome. The place is very clean, plenty of linens, an elevator just outside of the door and the metro stop nearby. Walking to the Vatican is a nice stroll while getting a feel for the neighborhood.
The photos are an authentic representation of the apartment, which is large, has a good comfortable bed, a kitchen with anything you may need from just warming something you bought already prepared to maybe trying your hand at something, but with all the restaurants nearby why would you?
Sabina was waiting for us upon our arrival and was full of suggestions for places to visit and to eat. She had guides to read and maps to help us get around. She is very responsive to emails and is an excellent host. You could not ask for more in an apartment or a host in Rome, I would not hesitate to return or to recommend Sabina's place to family and friends.
Thank you Sabina for contributing to our wonderful sojourn in Rome, arrivederci e grazie.

  • We had a wonderful stay in Rome. Sabina's apartment was perfect for our needs. It is in a perfect location, away from the touristy areas but still close to St. Peter's and the metro. Sabina's brother met us to check in to the apartment. He was helpful in describing the area and recommended restaurants and places for us to go. Sabina was in contact with us throughout our stay making sure we had settled in and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend the apartment to anyone looking to visit bella Roma! Thank you Sabina for everything!

  • Such a nicely decorated, very clean and cozy flat in a very neat and quiet part of Rome, located a 10-Minute walk from the Vaticano.
Sabina was very helpful and reliable with her contact before and during the stay, I'd recommend this to anyone who is seeking a unique Rome experience. All the Best!

  • My girlfriend and I spent 4 nights in this wonderful flat near the Vatican. We were welcomed from the brother of Sabina, who showed us the apartment and gave us some advice for food and groceries. He also gave us his number in case of questions or problems since Sabina was not in Rome. The apartment itself just looks like shown in the pictures, there is coffee, tea and fruits. We recommend this flat to everyone and would love to come back! :)

E Sabina stessa è stata cordialissima e molto disponibile. Ritornerei con molto piacere e consiglio il suo appartamento a tutta la community di AirBnb!

  • We loved staying in Sabina's flat! It was a great location- near Vatican City and the metro line. The best gelateria in Rome is about 6 doors down, and some fun restaurants are only a shirt walk away.
Even though Sabina wasn't in Rome to show us around the flat, her cousin did an excellent job of providing suggestions for places to go visit and to eat. Sabina was very helpful and responsive to email and messaging. This was one of our favorite places to stay in italy!

  • My boyfriend and I had a fantastic experience at Sabina's apartment! The place is super clean, with all facilities needed, perfect for a couple. The location is also incredible, just 10min walk to the Vatican, and also a short walk to the metro.
Sabina is a perfect host, helping us with all our doubts and gave us great suggestions of places to go for eat and drinking.
We highly recommend Sabina's place, and we'll definitely want to stay there again when we go back to lovely Rome!

Ciao ! I am an architect and I work between Italy and UK and I have travelled extensively. I am interested in culture, visual arts and particularly music. I use this little "nests" to escape from work and stressful life when I come to Rome since I enjoy the beautiful ancient sites of Rome , but I am happy to share it with friends and those who will appreciate the special qualities of the place and the beauty of Rome. I refurbished this apartment putting a lot of love and care. I love singing , and funny enough from this apartment sometimes you can appreciate beautiful music of opera singers and pianists coming from the Accademy of Music which is very near !
