This ideally located apartment is very central and a few minutes walk from the trendy Santo Spirito Square, with restaurants, bars and great night life. However, as the apartment is tucked away on a side street it is quiet and ensures a peaceful night sleep. Historic sights and stunning churches are also just around the corner, such as Palazzo Pitti and Ponte Vecchio, making everything you need within easy walking distance.
We found this apartment to be a great place to stay in Florence. Located on the quieter side of the river, it is a few minutes walk to Palazzo Pitti and other piazzas where you can find wonderful restaurants and bars along with local shops to buy supplies. It is a short walk over the Ponte Vecchio to the Duomo and other attractions. The bedroom is quiet as it away from the street. There is a comfortable large sofa bed in the living room and a single sofa bed in a smaller room next to the bedroom. The apartment is recently renovated, well equipped, very clean and airy. It is within 5 minutes walk of the bus which takes you to Santa Maria Novella station which is also very convenient. Luca's colleague met us to show us the features of the apartment. We would definitely like to stay in this apartment again.
Luca is a very kind host. He was very attentive and responsive to our needs. The apartment is spacious, good for 3-4 people and the kitchen is great. Good location for walking around Florence.
This is a very nice, comfortable, attractive apartment in a convenient part of the city. Perfect for a couple, perhaps a little tight for a family with children, but workable. Check-in and check-out were fast and efficient; air conditioning worked nicely; wifi is great; full-size refrigerator and dishwasher. Luca responded almost immediately to queries of all sorts, both before and after we arrived. This appears to be a full-time rental apartment, not a personal space rented out from time to time; perhaps all the better that way, but slightly impersonal as a result.
The photos of the apartment are accurate (although nothing ever looks quite as beautiful in real life as it does when the angles are right, the lighting is right, and everything is perfectly laid out). Visitors should nonetheless be aware that:
(1) Although there is a balcony visible in the photos, it is very tiny and faces onto an interior courtyard; not a space you will want to use, or that is attractive in any way.
(2) The "street view" rightly says "approximate location" or the like. In fact, this is not what the street looks like at all; this is a typical narrow, pedestrian unfriendly, dirty, interior Florence street. Not that you'll be spending any time on the sidewalk, but the "street view" makes the outside seem extremely attractive; it's not.
Coffee making facilities may be adequate for Italians, but not for Americans. Consider bringing a plastic Melitta filter and some paper filters if you want "real coffee" (not a tiny espresso) in the morning.
Absolutely beautiful! We have stayed at 3 places through Airbnb and this was, hands down, the BEST place. The location was perfect, a few minutes from the piazzas we wanted, but on a quiet street in a nice neighborhood. It is huge, and very comfortably fit the 3 of us. The view out the window from the bedroom is out of a movie of what Italy is supposed to look like. There is a washing machine and clothes line. Great kitchen, at times we opted to eat in just so we could hang out in the kitchen and apartment. The host was very helpful and polite, even gave us a map and some suggestions. I would stay here again any time, and highly recommend it!
The apartment is very cozy, fully equipped with everything you need to cook, clean and easily live. Everything functioned as it should, the apartment is cool, the wifi is very quick and there even is a piano.
The apartment is situated in a great neighborhood which is just around the corner of the Boboli gardens and near to the Pitti Palazo. Supermarket at 5 minutes walking, lovely little shops and boutiques of artists around.
It's a 7 min walk to the Ponte Vecchio, 10 min walk to the centre.
Luca's colleague met us at the apartment to let us in. He was really nice, and everything was settled within 10 minutes.
Great place, ideally located. The apartment is perfect for a family of 4, very nice, clean and the air condition was welcome during summertime. Luca was really helpful and responded quickly to every questions we had. I highly recommend his place if you are visiting Firenze!
