Studio description
------------------------------------------------------------------
The apartment is a romantic studio on the 2nd floor of a historic building from the 18th century in the heart of the Montorgueil-quarter.

The cosy ambience is due to tasteful decoration combining historic and modern styles with wooden beams and parquet floor. A big window giving out on the street lets in lots of light. Thanks to its double-glazed noise-isolation, one can enjoy the ambience on the street when the window is open and will still not hear a sound when it is closed.

The studio is equipped with a bathroom, a real bed, a wardrobe, dresser and a fully fitted kitchen with a dishwasher, a combined oven/microwave, a fridge/freezer, a washer dryer machine and everything you will need for cooking.

You will also find the hair dryer, the ventilator, the high speed wireless and cable internet, the Tv with 150 films provided and a phone with landlines and mobiles calls free to the USA, Canada and France. The landlines calls to some of others countries are also free.

A weekly cleaning during your stay is included in the rent if you book more than 8 nights.

Location and neighborhood
------------------------------------------------------------------
The studio is lotaced at the intersection between the 1st, 2nd and 3rd district.

It is in Montorgueil area. Montorgueil is one of the most animated quarters in Paris. It has many bars and restaurants, a little food-market with butcher, fishmonger, florist, supermarket and greengrocer, as well as a good choice of fashion-boutiques. On thursdays and sundays, a grocery-market is held in Montmartre street, only 100m away from the studio.

The quarter is very central, and it is easy to discover Paris, by foot, from there. Many of its monuments are at walking distance: The central square Les Halles, the modern art museum Centre Pompidou, the famous Louvre, Notre Dame de Paris, the lively Grands Boulevards and their clubs and bars...all of these sites are only a couple of minutes away.

The nearest subway stop is Etienne Marcel (on the line 4). At 2 minutes by foot to the studio.

This metro stop also serves the rail stations such as Gare Du Nord, Gare de l'Est and Gare Montparnasse. There is also the subway stop Châtelet Les Halles, the most central hub of the fast RER subway line, will take you straight to Charles de Gaulle airport or Orly airport. It is very accessible to go to Disney Land Paris or Versailles Castle.

Le Marais, one of the trendy and animated district, is at 5 minutes by foot. You will find there shops, bars, art galleries and also a busy night life. Compare to the other Paris district, the shop remains open even on sunday.

  • We never met Danielle but were greeted by the maid. This was okay but as a warning, the maid does not speak English very well. It may help to bring a guidebook or a note pre-translated! Though we didn't see her, she was responsive by email and we did talk to her on the phone when we arrived.

The apartment was in a lovely area, 10 minutes or so from the Lourve, perfect! Skip the bakery next door, we thought it was only okay, and hit up the many bakeries and patisseries around the corner on Rue Montorgueirl. The room was perfect for two with a window out onto Rue Tiquetonne. Beautiful floors and the bed is larger than it appears in the photographs. We didn't spend much time in the apartment, and it was great for our needs. WiFi worked, she had a corkscrew for our evening wine and even a fan for those stuffy summer nights.

Some quirks: there is a step down into the bathroom which we kept forgetting about and the entrance is in the middle of a restaurant Casa Picaflor, so we had difficulty finding it. We also had trouble with the TV, but we didn't really need to use it much.

  • Apartment was cosy and clean and it had everything as shown online. The double glazing window helps with the night noise. We felt safe and secure in the apartment and enjoyed the surrounding shops and restaurants.

  • It was just as expected. Photo is accurate. Facilities are as advertised. Because of the Coupe du Monde, noise level was terrific until about 0200 but this will be a singularity I feel.

Danielle was very helpful, took good care of me despite difficulties brought about by the Rail Strike, and was very sweet person to interact with.

  • This past week my husband & I spent part of our Honeymoon at Danielle's - this was our final stop traveling in Europe & it turned out to be our favorite place to stay! Not only was her apartment clean, welcoming, and comfortable to stay in, Danielle was also professional, helpful, and organized. As much as we loved to have our own kitchen & washer/dryer in unit, the apartment was all the better because of the proximity to great places to eat and window shop. It's easily walking distance to the Louvre and Notre Dame, along with direct access to the Metro just around the corner. Thanks again Danielle for such a lovely visit - we'll be sure to come back for an anniversary!

  • Danielle's place was perfect, centrally located, easy walk to the subway, Louvre and Marais shopping area. Lots of great restaurants in the neighbourhood away from the really busy touristy areas.
The apartment was very clean, well-equipped, and located on a quiet street. Danielle provided a lot of helpful information and was quick to respond to inquiries. We loved our 4-day stay and would happily return or recommend to anyone looking for a romantic apartment in Paris.

  • My mom and I had a great time staying in Danielle's studio while we were in Paris. The studio is beautifully decorated and in a wonderful location - the street it is on is full of many great restaurants and shops and the metro stop is just a quick walk away. Danielle makes sure you have everything you could possibly need during your stay (the studio was stocked with guide books, maps, and detailed guides on how to use the tv, phone, kitchen appliances, etc.) and she was quick to respond to any messages I sent. If I have a chance to return to Paris I would definitely stay again!
