  • I cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay at Casa Vallejo was. I went with a group of girlfriends for my birthday, and we just couldn't get over the place! I had eight people in my group, and there was more than enough space for us. The staff (located at Zamas hotel) was extremely pleasant and accommodating. The host at Zamas hotel kept a key for us at the front desk and escorted guests to the house who arrived at different times than the rest of the group. A housekeeping service came every day, at a time of our choosing. The house has many great features including, but not limited to, a nice and relaxing outdoor patio right outside the front door, a pool complete with an outdoor bathroom, several bathrooms inside the house where you can shower with the windows open and with a view of the jungle, 6 burners on the stove for cooking, a coffee maker, a blender, fans in every room, a private walkway to the house, two parking spots for cars, a balcony, a rooftop overlooking the jungle and the beach, a pristine beach right across the street from the house, and the list goes on! I would repeat this trip, including staying at Casa Tulum, over and over again!

  • The house is exactly as pictured. Very beautiful and special. Lots of light in all the bedrooms, even the first floor. Constant breeze coming in the giant windows. The pool was big and very clean. Be prepared to see and hear some wildlife! Don't miss sunset on the roof!

  • Casa Vallejo was an incredible house. It was beautiful and rustic with a fantastic pool to lounge by. It's convenient to just about everything in the hotel district of Tulum (beach, restaurants, spas). The staff at the affiliated Zamas Hotel were so incredibly friendly and helpful.

Susan and the hotel staff were very helpful in answering our questions before our trip.

My friends and I were so sad to leave!

  • Great location in Tulum. The staff at Zamas + Susan were so welcoming and accommodating. The house is very unique with high ceilings, tile bathrooms, ocean views/breeze, private pool, fully equipped kitchen, daily cleaning service. It's quiet, secluded and also very spacious. We had two adults + 1 child one on the top floor and another couple on the first floor - all with our own bath. You can tell the owners put a lot of care into the home + ensuring guests make the most of their stay in beautiful Tulum.

  • We had the MOST AMAZING vacation in Tulum and so much of it had to do with staying at Casa Vallejo and being able to use it as a base. The house is truly amazing-- one of the most beautiful houses I have ever seen-- and the location makes it a perfect place from which to venture out on bikes and explore the area. My friends and I agreed that as much as we love Tulum, 75% of the reason the trip was so magical and amazing was because of Casa Vallejo.

I can only rave about this place. If it is somewhere you are considering staying, I have nothing but amazing things to say about it.

  • This home is a gem set back from the small main road that heads out to the peninsula. There were 9 of us and we had more than enough room. I personally stayed on the 3rd floor and showered with an open window to the most amazing sunset after a day at the beach. The other side of our room looked straight out onto the ocean and we felt like the luckiest girls in the world.

There is a nice kitchen and large dining table as well as a huge palapa which makes it an ideal setting for group travel. We put the palapa to use, organizing a salsa lesson. Roger, the house manager and now friend, organized a local fisherman to deliver freshly caught and well priced fish for our evening meals.

There are also tons of restaurants and bars with unique menus and great cocktails within easy walking distance. We suggest 3 activities for your trip:
Eat a meal at Hartwood - a dining experience to rival anywhere in the world.

Rent bikes and head to the biosphere - this easy ride through gorgeous Tulum takes you to some of the most pristine beaches I've ever seen. (and there's bike rentals next door to the casa!).

Schedule a cenote tour from the Tulum Adventures connected to the first restaurant if you turn left out of the house on your left hand side. For a great price they let us customize our journey - we focused on snorkling a cenote, jumping of big rocks into the clear water, and peering into the caves.

    Have a great trip!

Hola Ayni, We're delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay so much! I'm happy that Roger was helpful in arranging some great activities too. Thanks for all of the great tips for other travelers!!! We look forward to having you stay with us again. Saludos from Susan and the rest of the ZAMAS team

  • Our son was getting married nearby and we all stayed in Casa Vallejo, and spilled over next door to Casa Laura,. It was a great success. The huge dining table was great as we all sat round it for breakfast, and the pool was fantastic. We loved it all, and it is a house with lots of personality as well as very comfortable and spacious. Across the road is the beach and the zama hotel that is great to pop in for a drink or a snack.

A small beach cabana hotel with thatch roofs and colorful tile décor - is pure jungle luxury with a splash of sea. Situated on a strip of the Mayan Riviera, the rustic-chic ambience exudes hammock culture. From the open air restaurant w/ muy fuerte margaritas to the weathered-wood beach chairs under large palm shades, the effect is absolutely Caribbean. The spicy days and balmy nights make the daze we dream. Like a sultry love affair, it's untamed and beautiful.
