Arie's place is very beautiful and it is exactly like the pictures. My flight was delayed a little bit, but as soon as I landed Arie sent me messages to know if I was already in Baltimore. He showed me the house, places I could leave my toiletries and everything that I could use on the kitchen and to do my laundry.
I really liked the neighborhood, it's very close to the Johns Hopkins Campus, there are several cheap and good restaurants close to his place, as well as a Safeway and a CVS.
I was working most of the time, but Arie was very nice when I was around there. There are two other people living in the house, but I barely saw them. The place is very clean and very quiet, if you're coming to Baltimore and choose this place, you won't regret.
I had a few bad times with Airbnb in the US this past year, but Arie helped me to trust Airbnb again.
Arie was a lovely host who waited for me to arrived even though it late on a Sunday night and carried my suitcases up the stairs without any hesistation. He then showed me where everything was in the house. The house and room had everything I needed and were well kept. Within 5 minutes walk was a Safeway and a CVS which was really convient. The nearest main road is also along the main bus route to get down town which was also a big plus. I was working at the Johns Hopkins Homewood campus which was about 20-25 minutes walk also so the location was great for me for that reason too. When leaving there was no pressure to be out by a certain time which was really nice. I am really grateful that I found such a great place to welcome me to the US. Thank you Arie.
Perfect location for me. Perfect host. Nothing to complain.
I stayed for 2 days for some conference in John Hopkins. I met Arie only once due to my busy and short schedule but he made it comfortable and according to me. He was quite easy guy gave me a big room on 2nd floor. I definitely recommend this place to stay.
Large 2nd floor room with a comfy bed at the front of a brick row-house.
Arie and his wife stay mostly on the 3rd floor and out of your way. It is surprisingly peaceful, as is the little backyard they have.
I stayed during a MICA grad student residency and didn't spend too much time there except for mornings and nights.
I would stay there again without hesitation.
I had a good stay at Arie's. He was accessible and responsive to all my requests. The building is in an interesting neighborhood, with unique local businesses and a 15 minute walk to Johns Hopkins Homewood campus. The room is very spacious and gets plenty of sunlight. The building is older, with quirks and cracks. I shared a bathroom with two long-term tenants; they may have been expected to clean the bathroom. Overall, my time at Arie's was comfortable and clean.
