  • Alan and his partner Angie are very responsive. It was our first time with AirBnb and I had loads of questions; they answered them promptly and completely. When we got there, they were totally welcoming. It's a lovely new apartment about 10 minutes from the center by tram right down the street. We had a private wing with bedroom and bathroom, very clean and quiet. We used their refrigerator and stove with ease and shared the occasional glass of wine. There are beautiful gardens and the Museum of Modern Art right down the street.

  • Penthouse in Dublin... what more can I say!

Great location, overlooking the Kilmainham Hospital which was converted into the Irish Modern Art Museum. Leonard Cohen was playing while we were there, so we were able to chill on the balcony and listen in... sweet!

Angie and Alan greeted us on arrival warmly, with a glass of wine, a glass of water, and a good natter (chat). Then we were shown our lovely room, with it's own balcony. Was our first experience with a complex where you look out your window into the windows of others! Quite an interesting experience, but quite private with good blinds and still a good view from the balcony on that side.

    Ask about the shed.

Thanks Angie and Alan! Was a treat to meet and hang with you and in your space for a bit.

  • Alan and Angie were great hosts and the apartment is superb. They gave us a recommendation for a local pub for lunch and they wern't wrong, Great fun guys, thanks again George and Bobby.

  • Angie and Alan were super hospitable! Lovely, sunny, very contemporary apartment within short taxi (or about 20 minutes walk) of central Dublin. The room is very private with a separate bathroom. Would happily stay again.

  • Alan and Angie were great hosts. Though Alan was working, Angie was a great contact person and hostess. The apartment is very lovely, spacious, and modern. The room was comfortable and clean with an added bonus of having a private ensuite bath. Location wise it's in a quiet part of Dublin with a supermarket downstairs and bus/tram less than 5 mins away. We booked VERY last minute and Angie was incredibly helpful of getting us situated and offering up recommendations for sites and directions. She is very friendly and we my cousin and I had great conversations with her. I would definitely recommend this listing!

  • There are so many brilliant things to say about Alan and Angie and their penthouse flat that I can't possibly list them all. From the moment I met them, they were amazingly friendly, welcoming, and so much fun. Staying with them far exceeded all expectations. They both sought to make my stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Upon arrival, they cracked open a few bottles of wine and took me out with them for dinner and drinks at one of their favorite local places. The next day, Angie and I went to lunch and she showed me around the city. We also did fun touristy things that she hadn't done before (of which I highly recommend the Gravedigger Bus Tour!). Angie and Alan made my time in Dublin SO amazing. It didn't hurt that the bedroom has the ability to be very private if desired with a super clean and modern en suite bath, comfortable bed, and a nice balcony (complete with fake grass that feels really lovely under bare feet). I highly recommend Alan and Angie's flat as the best place to stay in Dublin, especially for the price and their incredible hospitality and personalities!

  • Huge, modern and well equipped apartment, a few minutes walking from Heuston Station, where airport bus stops and where you can take a tram to city center. Alan's cousin gave us detailed directions to find the apartment and he was flexible about timings. Quiet neighbourhood, supermarket just below is a plus.

  • The apartment is very fantastic!
It's a new apartament (email hidden)ose to Heuston Station where we can take the DLR or LUAS or some bus.
it's a very quiet area with new buildings!
there are some pubs near about 10 min to walk.
There also a supermarket "ESSENTIAL" in front of the apartment and it has got good prices.

  • What a fantastic week end! My two friends and I booked this at the last minute and weren't sure what to expect as it seemed such good value and we have never used this site before.

But it really was a top-floor penthous! (5th floor...hehe)...and had two double ensuite rooms, each with their own balcony. There is also a large balcony by the living room, which we sat out eating on during the warm nights. And all the balconies have fake grass carpets, which is surprisingly cosy!

Allan's cousin Collum welcomed us with the keys and was very flexible about timings.

The flat is also very convenient to get in and out of town from and there is a supermarket just below.

Thanks guys, we had a lot of fun!!

Hi. We are both entrepreneurs with interests in Ireland, the US (Washington, New York, California and Florida), Hong Kong, London, Budapest, Bucharest Romania and Moldova. She is American and he is Irish. We both have a sense of adventure and a love of travel for business and pleasure. We enjoy going out (he's Irish so he enjoys a wee few wines but mostly not to excess). We have good taste in clothes, food, wine and art (or at least so we have been told). We speak fair Spanish and he also speaks French.
