The space
Welcome to Interfaith 21, a boutique hotel in the heart of New York City offering small, medium, and large private rooms designed for comfort, simplicity, and peace. Bathrooms are located in the hallway on each floor and kept spotlessly clean—just like the rest of our space.
We pride ourselves on immaculate cleanliness, genuinely loving service, and making every guest feel deeply cared for. Enjoy our tranquil backyard garden—perfect for relaxing in the sun—and a cozy common area stocked with free all-day breakfast items, homemade goodies, filtered water, and coffee.
More than just a place to stay, Interfaith 21 supports a mission from the heart: for over 20 years, we've been feeding the homeless in Tompkins Square Park every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Guests are welcome to join—no pressure, but it’s deeply meaningful (and honestly, kind of fun).
Guest access
Guests are welcome to take advantage of the common/breakfast area open throughout the day as well as the backyard which is open till sunset.
During your stay
We have staff on site available to assist you in any way. You will be warmly greeted and any questions you may have will be answered. Our office number is posted in each room and we're very responsive on the airbnb app as well.
Other things to note
Our goal is to cultivate a compassionate and loving spiritual atmosphere! As such, we ask no meat be present in the common areas, but guests are welcome to enjoy whatever food they like in the comfort of their own rooms.
There is no smoking allowed anywhere in the building or in the backyard. Smoking or burning of incense/sage in a room carries with it a $200 fine.
Please also note that this is a historic NYC building, aka no elevator 🙃 but our staff is always available and happy to carry up bags to your room. If you'd prefer to be on the ground for first floor, just let us know, we'll be happy to cater to your needs :)
