Interaction with Guests
Marlene lives on site with Peanut, the concierge dog. Our day starts early and ends early, but we love visiting with guests if schedules permit. We prefer to have you arrive early so we can show you around and make sure you are comfortably settled in.
We are located in the open desert in a rural residential neighborhood. Most guests enjoy the quiet atmosphere and will take walks in the desert, or sit on the back patio with a vista of mountain ranges in two countries and two states.
There are riding stables 10 minutes away, and a variety of things to do in El Paso, which is 15 minutes away.

Because of rural desert location, check in during warm months is recommended before dark. There are rattlesnakes in the area which are more active after dark. Doors need to be closed to prevent unwanted guests from coming in the house.
With spectacular views, garden, and native wildlife, Casa de Suenos is a hidden gem right outside of El Paso. Marlene is extremely accommodating and obviously loves what she does.
The house itself is beautiful- pictures cannot do it justice- and we loved waking up and seeing the sun rise over the mountains to the East. My friend took a walk in the morning with Marlene's sweet dog, Peanut, and had a relaxing breakfast on the patio before we left.
We will definitely be returning- hopefully for a longer stay next time.
Casa de Suenos was a beautiful place to stay. We arrived late at night and left early in the morning, but we wish we could have stayed longer. Marlene was very accommodating with our unusual check in and check out times. Great host, would highly recommend!
Marlene was very sweet and accommodating on my rough trip cross-country for a new job. The BnB is beautiful and I found it easily with her instructions. If you're looking for some peace and quiet with a beautiful daytime view, stay here!
Marlene was incredibly welcoming. My friend and I are on a road trip; we arrived at Marlene's at 2am due to traffic and poor planning. She was very helpful with directions and left the ac on for us. Awesome location, near el paso. The listing is just like the pictures.
Casa de Sueños was my first BnB experience. I loved it so much that now I dream of opening my own one day. Meeting Marlene was like meeting family. The dessert oasis that she and her husband have created is welcomingly peaceful. Traveling from California to Florida is a juggling act, but Marlene and her Casa provided us a magical south-western sanctuary to run, stretch & breathe.
It was a pleasure to stay at Marlene's place during my brief visit to El Paso. She's a wonderful, thoughtful host and even joined my dog and I for a walk with her dog, and had coffee waiting for me for our 5:30 a.m. morning walk!
Marlene has a beautiful place with an expansive patio for viewing the mountains and northwest part of El Paso, a common courtyard with fountain and a private patio off of the room. The room and breakfast were perfect. She has an actual B&B set up about 10 minutes off of the I-10, so a stay here is a above and beyond simply renting a room from someone.
We stayed at casa de sueños on our way from Texas to California. The BnB by itself is a great place! right in the middle of almost nowhere with an amazing view, a great hostess and peanut the dog.
The from is great as well, the breakfast was good and fresh. Absolutely recommended.

About the Host, Marlene
For the last 10 years, my husband and I have been running a Bed and Breakfast - Casa de Suenos, on the edge of open desert in a residential community in NM, but just outside El Paso TX.
I enjoy meeting people from all over the world and since I don't get to travel any more, I love hearing the stories from our guests.
I maintain the house and 3 acres our B & B is built on. That is a pretty full time job, but I enjoy making the grounds a true desert experience for our guests.
In terms of guests, we have had the most wonderful guests at our B & B. We are pretty laid back and live in a quiet residential area in the middle of the desert. We appreciate guests who like to connect with nature, are respectful of mother earth and appreciate the quiet of the desert.
